Novotel Manchester West, hotel in Hale

This modern hotel is just off the M60 motorway, 10 miles from Manchester city centre. It has free secure parking and good family facilities.

The room was a great size, the bed was huge and very comfy! The pillows on the bed were odd though, with 2 smaller pillows inside 1 pillow case which made them uncomfortable. The room was in the basement and was obviously an older room which did make me question the price a little. The toilet was separate from the bathroom, and the door could not be closed which was a little strange, especially if staying with someone else. The bathroom was a nice size with a bath/shower and the toiletries were really lovely. It was great to have a gym on site (main reason I chose to stay here) very decent equipment for a small gym. It has machines which can be used for more then one exercise/muscle group, which is very beneficial. I had the gym to myself both times which was nice. Breakfast was good with plenty of variety! Continental style as well as cooked hot food. Really big area with plenty of nice seating. Staff were not as friendly as I had hoped 😕 On arrival it felt very rushed and no real welcome as such. Same at breakfast. A smile and a how are you really do make all the difference 😊 It wasn't busy at all so a little more care and friendly attitude would be great! There are a few pubs/food places a short walk away and a lovely river with more restaurants and bars if you are happy to walk a little further (15 mins) Overall I enjoyed a night here and I would stay again/recommend to a friend.

Very convenient location to terminal 2 literally 2 minute walk. I was surprised to see a TV in the room with it being a budget hotel. Very clean and modern. Quiet nights sleep which is essential to me. Snacks and drinks available if required.

In a great location beside T2. A budget hotel with COMPACT clean rooms, ideal for an overnight stay which is why it is what it is. Thankfully we had booked our cases in at the airport before arriving but it is as described so appreciate the price.

Excellent location and it did exactly what it said on the tin. Budget hotel so basic and a small room. However, comfy bed, warm room, hot shower and a good buffet breakfast. Perfect for late return or early departure from the airport.

Breakfast not required as we had a earl flight, thus hotel is perfect location for terminal 2,its a budget hotel but for the price the facilities were quiet good, it said on arrival light snacks and drinks, but it was like a cafeteria, serving some hot food, however our room was very small, a double bed up against the wall and struggled to get out if wanted to use the bathroom, I had to pull the bed away from the wall a little so this was possible, a slight feel of cloustaphobia. But I suppose for the price and how long we were there.
