The very friendly dog and nice cat complement the stay, together with helpful tips of where to eat and what to see in the area. The accomodation is very nicely decorated and evertyhing is very functional and equiped for a sort or long stay, in a calm and quiet environment. We couldn't ask for more. Thank you!

Pousadela Village provides a sauna and a hot tub, as well as air-conditioned accommodation in Vieira do Minho, 6.8 km from Canicada Lake. With lake views, this accommodation features a patio. The holiday park also offers free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. People are very nice and helpful. We arrived in the middle of the night (around 03:45) due to flight trouble and they left us instructions for pick-up of keys. We really appreciated the offered solutions. Thanks Ernani. Our luggage arrived 2 days later and they received them on our absence. Perfect! There are around 10 or 12 small bungalows, arranged internally like apartments, with terraces and outrageous views over the valley. There are modern kitchen equipment, with induction hearth, stove, dish washer and also some pans. If you are a cook you will miss some pans and additional equipment like mixers, but for usual cooking it is sufficient. There is a heated internal pool, very nice as we stayed 5 days in autumn and had a lot of rain, wind and low temperatures. Head caps are required and can be bought on reception for 4 € each. We had our breakfast included. During the days where there were enough guests, rich and varied options were available. As people got reduced, they asked us at night before to choose food from a menu. No desperdice. Perfect! We didn't eat at restaurant, but it smelled very well during the initial days and they offer some nice combinations at a relatively high price level (this seems to be inherent to the region), but we are not really enabled to evaluate this point. Rooms were clean on arrival. In bathroom there is a heating device which allows hanging and drying of bath towels. Very nice as this small detail is often neglected at hotels. As the bungalows are placed on a steep hill, it is adequate more for a bit sporty people. Access by road is also steep but asphalted and reachable by standard vehicles. We are planning to return to Peneda-Gerês (under better weather conditions) and would certainly consider to stay at Pousadela again.

Located in Valdosende – Gerês, Agrinho Suites & Spa Gerês features a hotel and holiday homes. The property boasts a swimming pool, a tennis court, a fluvial beach and a pier on the Caniçada Lake where guest may practice canoeing and other water sports. Clean, relaxed, staff is very helpful and friendly. It’s in the middle of nature, with beautiful views everywhere. I’ve seen some comments on the steep climbing, but that’s just part of the great surroundings. Food was excellent and plenty of options.

7.2 km from Canicada Lake in Vieira do Minho, Encosta de Louredo by Pousadela Village offers accommodation with access to a sauna, hammam and spa facilities. With pool views, this accommodation provides a balcony and a swimming pool. The holiday home features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. Very friendly people and service, great dinners and wines. Got a lot of assistance from the reception with the activities (karting, boating, hiking, etc)

A continental breakfast is available every morning at Quinta dos Carqueijais Gerês, except in the Villa Floresta, when fully rented. We had own breakfast basket delivered to our door, it was very generous so we had all the leftovers as snack for all day. The location is amazing with spectacular view, the gardens are very beautiful, the place is very private with only 6 villas and with direct access to the lake. We loved it and willBe back!

This property offers access to a balcony, table tennis, free private parking and free WiFi. The holiday park features pool views, a picnic area and a 24-hour front desk. We were in many vacation houses around the globe... QUINTA GERÊS is definitely one of the best! Live in nature,  infinite outdoor space with pool and jacuzzi, special interior design,... Everything looks even better than in pictures. Miguel (the owner) is always available for any questions. Highly recommended property for big families or 8 adults.

Set in Geres and only a few steps from Geres Thermal Spa, Magnolia Apartment offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. The air-conditioned accommodation is 7.3 km from Canicada Lake. The property is non-smoking and is situated 10 km from Sao Bento da Porta Aberta Sanctuary. Great apartment for a family with kids. We enjoyed a lot the Geres National Park. We will come back for sure!!

Guests can also warm themselves near outdoor fireplace after a day of diving. Our Host was excellent, the location is great and walking distance to a range of cafes and restaurants as well as the river beach. Beds were comfortable, the house is well equipped and spotless. Highly recommended.

Casa da Avo is 200 metres from the Gerês Thermal Spa and 6 km from the Caniçada Dam Lake in the Cávado River where guests can enjoy various water sports activities. Porto International Airport is 96 km away. This is a beautiful 2-bedroom apartment with a very functional kitchen, excellent outdoor terrace with table and chairs, and very strong water pressure. Danielle is an excellent host and also extremely nice and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to return.
