Boasting a bar and free WiFi, Wat Hotel & Spa Hida Takayama is set in Takayama. The property is located 2.1 km from Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village. The on-site restaurant serves both International and Japanese cuisines. Lovely facilities and staff. Room was clean and comfortable. It was excellent value for what we paid.
Ochiai
Located in Ochiai, 23 km from Ōi, 中津川温泉 ホテル花更紗 provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a restaurant. Featuring a 24-hour front desk, this property also provides guests with a water park. Guests can use the sauna and the hot tub, or enjoy mountain views. I explored the area, and it was very beautiful. The hotsprings were super relaxed. Breakfast/dinner was also delicious. And of course, very friendly staff. I asked if tattoos were okay for the hotspings, and they said it was okay. Although there was a sign saying no tattoos (as well on website), they seemed to be really nice about it & allowed it. Bonus points for that.

Most comfortable and quiet. Charming staff. Central location, washer/dryer in room most useful. The 2nd floor onsen is excellent. All most positive.

Only a 1-minute walk from the Ogaki Train Station, APA Hotel Ogaki Ekimae offers modern accommodations with free wired internet access in all room. Guests can enjoy the sauna and the indoor/outdoor public baths. Massages can be requested for relaxation. Excessively tiny room, but pleasant and well appointed, with excellent lighting and quality bed + comforter. All OK.

Everything was amazing. The room was spacious and immaculately clean. The kitchenette was well stocked and convenient. The staff were very friendly and helpful. As for the breakfasts - they were superb! The location is great too just across the road from the train station. We thoroughly recommend the Relax Hotel in Takayama and would stay here again for sure.
Ever so grand, spacious, quiet and relaxing. Having your own private onsen was a luxury. Meals were beautifully presented and worth the experience. Warm welcome.
The Ryokan is very well located and super easy to find. The hospitality of the staff is amazing and i really felt well taken care of. Very sad I could only stay one night as both the hotel and the city were gorgeous! Some other points: - breakfast was very tasty -rooms are nice and spacious and have delicious green tea -the public bath is very nice and relaxing to stay in. The water is nice and hot!
We had a great stay. We were traveling with our 1 year old and the staff was very patient and helpful. Although the staff speaks little English, they really went the extra mile to assist us and it was all very relaxing for us. They also prepared a small dinner meal just for our kid. Dinner and breakfast are simply amazing. The room was spacious and lovely, and the private onsen was incredibly relaxing. The public baths are great too.
Room was very spacious, and the hotel provided a lot of places for guests to relax. Garden was gorgeous, breakfast was good and the 3 onsens allowed us to find one that is relatively quiet.
The Inn had traditiional bedding, hot tub, dinner and breakfast supplied. All were amazing and great value. (We had a private toilet in our room.) The owner (Mr Tajimaya) surprised us with song and dance (Kiso-bushi) lessons. We not only learnt a traditional Lumber song but how to do the Samurai and wife dance. He is also a rice farmer who gave us some of his sake to taste. It was a very social occasion where we met fellow travellers from Spain, Holland and Canada.
Excellent spa hotel, not too far from the train station. By foot to old town max 10 mins. Great bath, especially the four family baths for two. The Hollywood room was large with two very large beds, very nice. Very clean. House suits and slippers readily available. Hotel staff is very friendly and speaks English. The breakfast is great! Lots of typical Japanese food, besides the usual American style stuff. Definitely recommended.
The room is good for family of 4 with 4 big luggage. The public bath/onsen is the very clean and big, they even have outdoor onsen pool and sauna room. The buffet breakfast is great with lots of choice from Asian and western food. They have quite a lots of parking space with small extra charge which is very good for self-driving ppl like us. It's also very close to the main tourist area like Miyagawa Morning Marketing, about 10-15 mins walk. The rooftop also have a very good view to the whole city.
