It was a short walk to town - less than 10 min. While at night the last part of the walk is a bit dark, it is easy and feels very safe. The proprietor, Claudia, is exceptionally helpful. We had a problem with a theft from our car in a national park, and she helped us make the police report, translating and then also obtaining the written police report since it was not going to be available before we left the area. We can't thank her enough for all her help. The rooms are modern, clean, and well appointed. Beds are very good. Great to wake up and look out toward the volcanoes. Being a bit away from town, it is very quiet and peaceful. Nice yard in front to sit out and have a cup of coffee or use the grill overlooking the lake.
