Location was central to the main attraction of Kawaguchiko lake where you could go for a (long) walk there, bike there, or even bus there. The owner even offered e-bike rentals early morning that let me catch the sunrise, and it was one of the best travel moments I've had. He was so helpful with sightseeing advice and we were able to communicate using translation apps. Traditional Japanese house, spacious rooms, lots of quiet, and centrally located to convenience stores, a large supermarket with cheap bento boxes, and less touristed restaurants. The location is exceptional. I had the chance to see Mount Fuji directly from my room. The staff is warm and friendly, and Yoshi is an amazing host as well as an excellent cook. He even drove me to the train station on the day of my departure, although he wasn't obligated to do so, and he showed many thoughtful gestures throughout my stay. A big thank you. (As an added bonus, other guests I saw brought their dogs with them, and they were all adorable.)

Manager-san is extremely kind and helpful. The room was bigger than i had expected for 1 person stay. Futon cover was super thick and fluffy. Location was fantastic— just 2 min walk to the bridge with a stunning view. Across the road from Kawaguchiko Herb Museum bus stop with all the sightseeing lines. 5 min walk to Lawson. A beautiful 40 min stroll around the lake to Oishi Park. Most importantly, i am OBSESSED with the traditional style windows. ❤️

The food is wonderful! Such huge attention to detail. As westerners, we had to go into the meals with an open mind but everything was delicious and the lovely host helped us with some videos on how to eat certain things.
The staff are incredible, they’re so kind. We had some problems with our bags being left behind in the UK and the lovely host couldn’t have been more helpful with the problem.
He so suggested plenty of things to do in the area that we hadn’t heard of. So great!!

This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. My boyfriend worked at 5-star hotels in the past and even he said the service at this hotel was impeccable. We were very lucky to see Mt Fuji from our room and the private onsen. We also loved the traditional Japanese room, the dinner and breakfast selection and being able to wear the yukata provided by the ryokan. Definitely the most authentic Japanese experience of our trip. We wish we had stayed longer than just one night. We will be back at this ryokan every time we visit Japan from now on.
It is a very special place located near Lake Yamanakako with excellent views of Mt Fuji. The rooms are traditional ryokan with tatami mats and you have your own amenities to make tea or heat up something in the microwave. You are also about a 10 min walk from bus station and downtown - which has excellent places to eat and drink. Also the onsen was great and in the lounge area you could build a fire!
Lovely ryokan with fuji views! The onsen and breakfast were highlights, as well as the experience of staying in a traditional room with tatami mats and the futon bed. The location is a bit out of the main town but its only a short walk. Easy to get to via public transport from Tokyo too. The staff were very responsive and helpful.
The host is lovely as her ryokan. The room is very spacious, with a beautiful view on Fuji San, futons are very good. Onsens are nice. The breakfast’s delicious.
The view is gorgeous! The onsen is very relaxing. I stayed in a Japanese style room, and it was very fun. They provide toiletries as well as yukatas for you to wear at night. Sleeping on a futon can be uncomfortable if you're not used to it, but I had no issues.
perfect stay for anyone who wants to experience a ryokan. it was well stocked with amenities, and they even provided a yukata to wear for the onsen! we liked that we could use the onsen privately for 30 minutes max. each time. the host was very warm and welcoming. i was really looking forward to seeing mt. fuji from our room but the weather did not permit unfortunately :( wish we could’ve stayed longer because the weather had cleared up the next day!!!
