The ryokan is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs nearby for guests to relax in. I have my private hot spring. The tub is very big and clean. The room has a 3 stage glass patio doors which I can slide open them all, then I got a very wide view of the garden. I live in Toronto. I have house with my own back yard. But the patio door can only be slide opened to one side, not like this hotel. That is Excellent.

The lady who welcomed us was so nice and helpful! We arrived late so she called some restaurants to see if they were still open so we could have diner. We found a big spider in our room and she helped us get rid of it. Very nice accommodation and wonderful host!

It's not just a hotel but a destination, a cultural gem. The historical Great Hall and the Japanese garden are beautiful. In the evening you can sit on the edge of the Great Hall looking out on to the beautifully lit garden that surrounds a small lake. And the hotel provide you with sake and other drinks at no charge to aid a truly memorable experience. Our room was large, spacious, comfortable and clean, with a fabulous view over the garden. Breakfast was traditional Japanese, and of the highest quality. All the staff were courteous, and very helpful. There is an excellent museum right next door to the hotel to which entry is free to hotel guests. So don't miss it or the tour around the historical parts of the hotel. This is probably the most glowing review I have ever given on Booking.com, but it absolutely deserves it.

Located in Akizuki, Akitsuki Kominka Ryokan You boasts a garden, terrace and free WiFi throughout the property. Free parking is provided for guests at this accommodation. The accommodation provides a shared lounge and luggage storage space for guests. the owner is a quite person but very kind and considerate. she was one of very few accommodation-owners who speak english. 1. specially she took care of our electrical bicycles which need battery charging. she made an indoor space in a different house which is perfect. 2. also the kitchen which is well devised and like home kitchen was very nice to use. 3. the room we stayed has so nice mountain view, which was tranquil. 4. during our stay, it was heavy rain and we, bike traveller, probably made the space dusty. but she understood the situation and was generous to provide more towels to wipe water on body. 5. we vediotaped the house because her retro-renovation of the old farm house(actually looks old shop house in a farming village) was very intriguing and informative. (very japanese as well as very moderate and inexpensive)
