The hotel is amazing. We had a hot bath which was perfect after a day of walking. The staff were very professional and friendly. The traditional breakfast and dinner (which was included in our booking) were an amazing experience. They bring you a lot of food and we ended up so full 😄 they have public and private onsen. We tried the private onsen and we recommend people to try it :) the view of Mt. Fuji and the lake on the roof is amazing. The room came with the tatami floor and the room was huge. 100% recommend
This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. My boyfriend worked at 5-star hotels in the past and even he said the service at this hotel was impeccable. We were very lucky to see Mt Fuji from our room and the private onsen. We also loved the traditional Japanese room, the dinner and breakfast selection and being able to wear the yukata provided by the ryokan. Definitely the most authentic Japanese experience of our trip. We wish we had stayed longer than just one night. We will be back at this ryokan every time we visit Japan from now on.
Everything! It was a beautiful, traditional style Japanese inn with lovely tatami mats and futons to sleep on. It was like being taken back through time and was amazing to experience a real taste of japan.
Most comfortable futons we had in Japan, owner upgraded us to a larger room with a direct view of Mt Fuji for free since we were the only guests in the ryokan. Free hot drinks and the hottest onsen bath imaginable, really rejuvenating. Wonderful hospitality with free yukata loan, 360 views of the lake and mountain from the roof terrace, and the breakfast was delicious. Great facilities and good location.
Lovely ryokan with fuji views! The onsen and breakfast were highlights, as well as the experience of staying in a traditional room with tatami mats and the futon bed. The location is a bit out of the main town but its only a short walk. Easy to get to via public transport from Tokyo too. The staff were very responsive and helpful.
Really beautiful location as the photos show. This is a traditional Japanese inn (ryokan), which means traditional-style rooms with sliding doors, tatami mats, and futon bedding; a (nude) bathhouse within the hotel facilities; and in our case, a full traditional dinner and breakfast. This is the iconic ryokan experience! I would certainly recommend Ururun Kawaguchiko to anyone else travelling to Japan, and if you can't make it here I would strongly recommend trying to find and stay in a ryokan somewhere else for at least one night.
Excellent place to stay and relax. Each of the rooms have an outdoor onsen bath, and an indoor wet room with a bathtub and shower. The futons are placed on tatami mats. You are provided pajamas to sleep and Yukata to walk around the Ryokan and the area if you want to.
The dinner and breakfast are Kaiseki style.
The view is gorgeous!
The onsen is very relaxing. I stayed in a Japanese style room, and it was very fun. They provide toiletries as well as yukatas for you to wear at night. Sleeping on a futon can be uncomfortable if you're not used to it, but I had no issues.
-Located next to Lake Kawaguchiko, if the sky is clear, you can see Mount Fuji from your room or in front of the Ryokan
-Staffs are very very friendly, attentive and speaks fluent English
-Room size is great and Futon is very comfortable
-Free Parking lot
-There are onsen (hot spring) provided in the ryokan (Gender separated)
-Breakfast comes with a Japanese set, very delicious and beautiful presentation
Location right by the Yagizaki Parc, on the shore of Lake Kawaguchi, but most important with an absolutely stunning view on the Mount Fuji.
Hotel is designed like a Ryokan: rooms with Tatami mats, comfortable futons as beds, shared bathrooms with small Onsen, optional breakfast (changes by day between Japanese and western style).
