Fujikawaguchiko Onsen Konanso 5 stars

Fujikawaguchiko Onsen-kyo, Fujikawaguchiko

Featuring great views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi, Konanso boasts natural hot spring baths and large Japanese-style rooms with traditional tatami (woven-straw) flooring. It is only a 2-minute walk from a ferry stop, where guests can board sightseeing cruises. Free WiFi is offered in all areas. Everything is crazily awesome!! We booked a higher-floor lake-view room. It's on 6 floors. The room is really big since it's not my first time staying at this kind of traditional Japanese onsen Ryokan. 1. The check-in male staff is really professional and his English is one of the best during my stay in Japan. 2. The lady who was responsible for our room Yuki, was really helpful and completed every her mission perfectly from welcome tea to set up and serving our whole traditional Japanese dinner. 3. The rooftop is the best reason to stay here. You can see the whole of Fuji Mountain here. The day we checked in was clear but with some cloud on the tip of the mt. But on the day we checked out was really clear. 4. The shared onsen on the fourth floor is also awesome. There are all kinds of onsen and saunas. Even better with an outdoor one! I didn't go in the daytime but if you stay here please try it. 5. The shuttle bus is really helpful since most of our trains are after 3 pm. You can also use it when you checkout first, leave your bags here explore around and come back to take the shuttle bus back to the train station.

The air-conditioned rooms at Hotel Asafuji have Shoji paper screens and a low table with floor chairs and cushions. Each room includes a fridge, private toilet, and guests bathe at the hot-spring baths. Japanese-style futon bedding on a tatami (woven-straw) floor is provided. Yukata robes are offered for guests. Free station pick-up is convenient. The room and public onsen bath were very clean and with fantastic view. Sleepling in the futons on tatami was an interesting experience like in Doraemon and Chibi maruko-chan! It was comfortable, We got a very good rest. We were hosted by a lady from Vietnam, who was kind, attentive and helpful. She clearly introduced each dish during the meal and there was no problem in English communication. The food part was extremely amazing! The dinner and breakfast were very rich and delicious. We fully tasted the flavor of the ingredients and felt the chef's intention👍 This visit was perfect and I will definitely come again.

Kawaguchiko Lakeside Hotel 2 stars

Fujikawaguchiko Onsen-kyo, Fujikawaguchiko

Located just a minute's walk from Kawaguchiko Lake, Kawaguchiko Lakeside Hotel offers accommodation in Fujikawaguchiko, near Kawaguchiko Ohashi Bridge. Free WiFi is available throughout the entire property. The hotel is a minutes' walk away from the shores of Kawaguchiko and Kawaguchiko Herbkan. The lakeside hotel is a charming, older style Japanese hotel. Everything was so clean & the location right next to the lake and restaurants was amazing. We got lucky in that there were not many quests staying so we had the entire onsen area to ourselves the entire stay. The host/owner is so lovely and welcoming he made our time in Kawaguchiko even better! You also can’t beat the views you get from the hotel of mt fuji! Great value for money. Loved it!

Teiensaryo Yamanakako 3 stars

Yamanakako

Fitted with tatami (woven-straw) flooring and traditional futon bedding, each room features a flat-screen TV and air conditioning. A fridge is also provided, and guests can enjoy garden views. Bathroom and toilets are shared with other guests.

The ryokan is a 5-minute walk from Lake Yamanaka. Both Fujikyu Highland Amusement Park and Gotemba Premium Outlets Shopping Mall are within a 30-minute drive. The owner and his family were super welcoming and friendly. The place looks a bit old as the business has been running for a long time, but for us that's what a traditional Japanese inn should be like and thus it was just great. It's a few minutes walk from the lake as well. The hot bath was a big plus after a long day outside during winter. The food was amazing! Better to check their website for more information and contact the owner directly to make a reservation :)

Fitted with tatami (woven-straw) flooring and futon bedding, traditional rooms come with a TV and a low table. Guests can try on yukata robes and sip a cup of green tea. Bathroom and toilet are shared. We were amazed by this hostel! For this incredibly cheap price we got traditional Japanese-style room, very big and clean, with all facilities (the only thing disappointed us is the lack of the iron), plus they gave us Kimonos! there is small onsen, that included to the price as well! And from the window we could see Fuji!! The stuff was amazing! Super welcoming, kind and friendly. In the end of our trip the owner even drove us to the station, as it was late and cold. I have never been more satisfied by hostel than at that time!
