It was a luxurious hotel in the Onsen town of Ureshino that completely blew us away. The rooms were large and spacious, very well appointed and well laid out. The staff were extremely attentive and there were lots common areas to relax in. The open air onsen and saunas were also well laid out. We found everything was great here, the room, the private and public hot bath; the food and the staff. The location of Ryokan Yoshidaya is excellent. It is close to the river where it has a road of sakura. We had a perfect walk in the morning and the view was absolutely gorgeous. We stayed at Worikara, a villa just a stone's throw away from its main ryokan and a perfect place for us to relax and unwind after a day's hike. We liked the breakfast and the dinner which were rich in varieties and taste. Finally, we must give credits to the staff who served us. They were friendly, helpful and patient to answer our questions. The translation system in the mobile phones they were using was perfect to break the language barrier and in fact, some of the staff who served us spoke excellent English. Our only regret was that we had no time to visit its cafe. We would definitely stay at this ryokan again when we visit Fukuoka again next year.

Lovely family run traditional guest house. My room had a lovely view over the river. The owner was lovely and with limited English did her best at making me comfortable, helping me use the washing machine, and finding somewhere good for dinner. I arrived a little early and her mother was the only one on site and had no real English but still did her best to accomodate me until her daughter arrived to check me in. The hot bath was nice and there’s even a private one you can book for an hour too in case you’re a little uncomfortable with sharing. I think currently their dining room is being renovated so no meals at the onsen but lots around locally.

BEST. ONSEN. WATER. EVER. Felt like I was showering with SKII serum. Service was fantastic. They came out to greet us and helped us with bags and parking. Not only that, we left a small item behind and they helped us to ship it to Osaka before we left. Very very customer centric. Food was good. Love the garden next to the restaurant.
