Four Seasons Yuzawa Quattro, hotel in Tokamachi

Boasting luxurious guest rooms with a private open-air hot spring bath and a balcony, Four Seasons Yuzawa Quattro is a 5-minute walk from JR Echigo-yuzawa Shinkansen (bullet train) Station.

The staff was absolutely lovely and helpful. We felt at home right away, even though some do speak little English. A traditional breakfast was served inside the room. An entire feast, very satisfying and with lots of variety. Dinner also was quite the showstopper and not expensive at all for what we got. The room was very spacious and cosy, perfectly clean and with lots of small amenities.

The rooms were spacious and inviting, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of exploring and driving. The onsen was a bit on the warm side, but very relaxing! Takanoya, hotel in Tokamachi

Takanoya offers free shuttles to the ski sites at Iwahara and Yusawa Park, as well as indoor hot spring baths for both male and female guests.

Breakfast was filling and varied traditional Japanese fare. The manager was helpful. He helped me book the luggage courier and showed me how to use the washing machine with a built in dryer. The location was away from eating and easy transport connections so I spent extra money on Taxis. Walking into town with ski gear in a snow storm is not ideal . Iwaparra ski resort is an easy walk away and it had piles of fresh powder snow and easy fun ski runs .

Absolutely incredible! We stayed for one night and had a lovely host family who welcomed us with homemade tea and drove us to the local onsen and sushi shop. The guesthouse was very cute and cozy and had a little balcony for us to sit and watch the snow fall! Highly recommend!

Everything!!! From the moment you arrive until you leave, the owner & staff are at hand to greet, assist, etc. There are only 8 comfortable rooms in this ryokan with in-room onsen and there is also a shared onsen which were very well maintained and clean! Owner is a certified Sake Master & Wine Sommelier who personally managed our (opted) sake pairing excellently with our superb Michelin ⭐️dinner. Thank you! We will definitely look forward to future visits to this ryokan!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The staff are experts in hospitality and friendly. They arranged a shuttle to pick us up from the local station. The Japanese style room is so inviting and comfortable. The dinner was so good I'm speechless. The wine and sake pairings were fantastic. Soaking in your own hot spring after dinner, while taking in the view is divine. If you have the chance to stay in this area, put yourself in their care. You won't regret it.
