We stayed at this hotel for 1 night only and have regretted it ever since. This hotel definitely is worth, at the very least, 2 nights stay. We also loved the breakfast and the myriad of choices available during the breakfast buffet. The onsen location are different for morning and night so try to stay longer so you can enjoy both night and morning onsen and also the attractions around the hotel and area. We had a short walk outside the hotel along the lake and really enjoyed it.

What a hotel experience. Would recommend it and would be staying at The Lake View Toya next time we're in the area. It is a full package with Buffet Dinner and Breakfast. The rooms are just spacious with full amenities. The common areas in the lobby reflects the class and luxury. There's a fantastic Macintosh based h-ifi system in the lobby area for audiophiles to appreciate. The dining area with the high ceiling and full length glass windows just captures the vistas of Lake Toya with the Nakajima Islands especially Oshima. The buffet menu was extensive with lots of local Japanese and international cuisine and the cooking is equally excellent. The onsen is large with full length glass to capture the Lake Toya views. But go up to the open air rooftop heated infinity pool and you get views of Toyako without obstruction. Don't miss that. Its just the right complete package.

The view from the window in my room was fantastic, you can see the fireworks display on the lake right from your window. We chose the Japanese style room which is the futon mattress but it was super comfy. Breakfast was buffet style which is great for me, there are many pickles to choose from, and all delicious.
