Otsu (Near Kusatsu)
The air-conditioned rooms come with Japanese Yukata robes, a fridge and a seating area with low tables and cushions. Guests can choose to stay in rooms with Western-style beds or in rooms with Japanese futon bedding and tatami (woven-straw) floors. Guests can watch international programmes on a flat-screen TV (BBC World, Phoenix InfoNews Channel, TVBS and YTN). The en suite bathroom comes with a hairdryer and slippers.

Sakamoto Station is a 10-minute drive away and a free shuttle is available from both stations if reserved at time of booking. Guests can wear the provided Japanese Yukata robes and lounge at the spacious modern lobby with a cup of coffee. Kyoto Station is a 20-minute train ride away.
Ogoto Onsen Yunoyado Komolebi Ryokan is a 10-minute walk from Lake Biwa. Hieizan Enryaku-ji Temple is a 40-minute drive away.

everything was perfect,how they welcome you and explain the facilities,everyone was very kind and accomodating (my friend is vegetarian and they change the menu accordingly) the food was delicious,the room was clean,spacious and the futon super comfy. With an additional charge (but totally worth it) it's possible to use the near hotel's baths,that have open air baths at different floor (the 8th and 11th are amazing!) I would totally come back if I can. Thanks so much for an amazing experience!

I had an unforgettable stay at Biwako Hanakaido. The view of Biwa Lake is simply spectacular, creating a serene and picturesque setting for a relaxing getaway. The staff were exceptionally friendly and grateful, making my stay even more enjoyable. A special thank you to Alena for taking such great care of us The food was varied and incredibly tasty, offering a delightful culinary experience. The massage course also must try!
