Excellent ryokan stay near Lake Biwa! We had a private bath in our room which was lovely, and the room itself was spacious with a separate dining area which was very convenient. Provided toiletries were high quality and the ameneties bar was well-stocked. Staff were friendly and adept at using translation apps to speak with us as necessary. Whole area was quiet and overall a wonderful night spent.

The staff was the best. Always very kind and helpful. I had the Japanese breakfast twice and I loved it. I highly recommend it, even though I understand it is not for everyone. The room was spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. I loved the bath. If you don't know how the Japanese use it, I suggest researching it first.

The entire hotel is beautiful. We loved our room. It was calm and relaxing. Breakfast was delicious. They had sandwiches , miso , rice , omelette, tofu , pickled vegetables and bread in a buffet setup. The staff is friendly , informative and polite. Loved the experience of staying in a room that had incorporated a lot of the traditional style. Futon was very comfortable and they even offered to use 2 mattresses.
