The Mason Arms is located on Devon’s Jurassic Coast, just a 10-minute walk from Branscombe Beach. Dating back to the 14th-century, this property offers an award-winning restaurant, locally brewed ales and free parking. Our 10/10 stay at this place started the night we arrived. After a somewhat harrowing drive in the dark/rain/fog down a tiny road we were exhausted. The lovely man (Dan who it turns out was just filling in but did a bang up job) at the check in just took us straight to our (out of this world) room and said "Check in in the morning, no problem" and handed us a pot of cream (... this is for your coffee/tea). The room itself was huge and gorgeous with a full sitting room area, mini kitchen and a giant king sized bed that was so comfortable I would still be there if I could. The bathroom had a great shower and a giant bath tub. We stumbled across to the pub and (although it was past kitchen closing) the chef made us a lovely salmon dinner. Things just got better from there - gorgeous full breakfasts, lovely dinners, kind and caring staff EVERYWHERE. The town is tiny but stunning with plenty of interesting historical buildings and great hikes both around the area and over to the next town (charmingly called Beer). Thank you to Dan, Sophie, Connor and Hannah for making our stay so incredibly special.

Just a few paces from the beach, The Redcliff offers views across Weymouth Bay, and street parking is available nearby. Weymouth town’s restaurant and pubs are a 10-minute stroll away.

A recently renovated property, Gretenham B&B is set in Swanage near Swanage Bay, Swanage Railway. Featuring sea and inner courtyard views, this bed and breakfast also features free WiFi. The accommodation offers a housekeeping service and private check-in and check-out for guests. John and Lou are perfect and most gracious hosts. They stood me with advice and assistance. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the staff friendly and professional. Lovely garden with a variety of comfortable outdoor seating. Easy car parking, Covid restrictions were in place, and adhered to.

Housed in a building dating from 19th century, this guest house is 37 km from Corfe Castle and 40 km from Golden Cap. Rufus Castle is 12 km away and Athelhampton House is 22 km from the guest house. Everything! Mark & Theresa were very friendly. Their suggestions for food were great. The location was fab. Breakfast was good. The room and bed were very comfortable. Fantastic weekend away.
