Poor quality in every aspect. Staff disinterested, expensive and poor quality food.room and toilet grubby and location dangerous to access and exit. Do not visit this hotel.
A traditional family-owned pub in Greystoke, The Boot and Shoe is only a 10-minute drive from the M6 motorway. The Lake District National Park is around 30 minutes’ drive away.

Lovely location with fabulous views from the breakfast room. Fantastic breakfast! Comfortable beds. Big fluffy towels!
Lovely greeting from the very personable host on arrival and throughout the stay. Very helpful regarding access when he found out one member of our party had mobility issues. All in all a great relaxing holiday made even better by the accommodation and location. We are certainly going back very soon!
Fantastic facilities, lovely pool area with jacuzzi, steam, and sauna room. Good gym for a quick workout. Lovely area and views with great walks from the property. 10 min drive to penrith or Keswick.
Decent size room with good views.
Our host and her lovely children were a joy, so pleasant and helpful. Love the surroundings and the garden is beautiful with scenic views, a peaceful place to sit and have a coffee. There is a resident dog which was too sweet for words. We felt at home here, nothing was too much trouble and we loved the breakfast, delicious. The room was spacious and pristine, good quality toiletries. A perfect stay, we will be back!! Many thanks.
Great location, parking, friendly homely feel, cuppa on arrival, lovely hosts and cooked breakfast, cereals etc. Bookable hot tub with music, relax after walking the fells! Cheaper booking directly, so I'm annoyed with booking dot com...
