This boutique Newcastle hotel offers quirky, 4-star accommodation, just a 2 minutes’ walk from Central Station. Its rooms are striking and unique, and now has the fantastic Grainger Restaurant’ on site. The Grainger Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner each day.

The real highlight was the excellent breakfast carefully prepared and served with quality ingredients. The location was incredibly convenient for the metro and the train station. Despite being very much in centre of town it was a quiet room. Possible to go out to a range of restaurants and bars in easy walking distance.

Each room has fine Egyptian cotton linen, a deep bath and a power shower. Guests can also enjoy a plasma TV, air conditioning and facilities for making tea and coffee.

The on-site restaurant was good although the breakfast was the standout meal we had. Dinner was uneven. My family had an excellent beef bourguignon, and the mussels I ordered were delicious. I also had a steak, but it was underwhelming and overcooked. Overall the meal was still good especially the pot du chocolate!

We all used the pool, it was great that children can use it most of the day. Really enjoyed the steam room and jacuzzi. The bar was great to sit in for a relaxing drink. Overall we had a lovely stay.

Hotel had pleasant surroundings. Would not think you were so near to Newcastle. It was chosen because it looked relaxing and near to Freeman hospital just five minutes away. We had everything in room needed and we were lucky enough to be upgraded to a superior room which was lovely. Restaurant was excellent also.. Staff very helpful.

Staff all very friendly and helpful. Room we upgraded to was lovely as it had separate sitting room and good view of the train station and trains as I love trains. Used the pool and jacuzzi which was great for relaxing after shopping at Metrocentre which is 15 mins on bus. Pubs, restaurants and shopping and bridges all close by so overall great location and would thoroughly recomend it as beautiful hotel and kept clean and tidy at all times.
