Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

SpainI would only recommend this location if you’re interested in being in an alternative area far from the city centre. It’s in between the beach and the old town (10’ by car and really affordable)
The staff was really kind, worried all time about our needs and asking if we could ever need something. When we had some troubles with the room they immediately worked on that and were really supportive. Also they helped us a lot when organising activities in the city and surroundings. Really good breakfast, the quality of the ingredients and preparation it’s outstanding even though the coffee quality and offer is not at the same level. It’s placed in a non crowded and really authentic area. Fantastic pool.

New ZealandThere is nothing tō dislike in HOI An.
The location in the Tra Que Vegetable Village so close tō beach and town was the highlight of this accomodation giving an authentic experience of Vietnamese every day life away from the tourist scene but close enough when needed.

AustriaOur best stay in Vietnam; the hotel is a little bit outside of Hoi An but definitely worth the extra mile. Rooms are very generous and have great tropical garden/lake views. Pool is a good size also for swimming. Breakfast is in the hotel's award winning restaurant and really amazing. (fluffy pankcakes with seasonal fruit). Staff are very knowledgable and friendly. Will return!

United StatesAlthough my new bride was very excited about the the bathroom with a huge soaking tub and separate shower, she was a little intimidated that the bathroom had no door for her privacy. However, I think she acclimated quickly and enjoyed her experience as much as I did.
We were able to rent a motorbike at the hotel and that helped us get to wherever we needed to go. The staff was very friendly and accommodating to our needs. We really enjoyed the size and layout of our room with lots of sunshine and window we could open to let in the fresh air. This was probably my favorite place we stayed during my 20 days in Vietnam. The price was also very reasonable when compared to other properties that turned out to be much smally and not nearly as nice.

VietnamThe hotel’s a bit old. The bed was not so comfy.
The place located in the Tra Que vegetable plantation villages, which means we have plenty of nature around. Good cafe nearby, good restaurant within the hotel and in the neighbourhood.

AustraliaAs mentioned, we never ate here so cannot comment on that. Everything else was great :)
We really enjoyed our stay at Tra Que Mansion. Our room was huge with lots of natural sunlight with balconies and windows overlooking the lake and garden which gave a very open yet private atmosphere to the space. A super comfortable bed and great aircon. The gardens are beautiful and the pool is large and clean lined by palms and perfumed creepers. It is such a lovely hotel situated away from crowds being amongst the vegetable plots. We didn't eat at the restaurant so cannot comment on the food, instead we ate mainly at An Bang which is an easy bicycle ride away. Thanks again to the lovely staff Sarah, Mia, Tuc, Sau and Ruby, always very helpful and gracious.

United KingdomOnly downside (personal preference) was the menu for breakfast was set and only had a few options. Would prefer more of a buffet style.
The room was incredible. It was like having your own flat. Very spacious. Lovely view. The swimming pool was just perfect. The whole place was lovely and quiet including the surroundings. Within walking distance of some local food places with own grown food. Really easy to get a Grab if you wanted to go into Hoi An. They offer free bicycle rental. We hired some motorbikes from somewhere else and they tried so hard to help us when we had issues with them. We chose to rent motorbikes with them instead and the bikes were really reliable. Cannot praise this place enough. Would absolutely stay again!

AustraliaBreakfast was a bit average for a supposedly fine dining restaurant. Choice not huge yet every day not all the options were available and portions were disappointing, eg one crushed potato.
Large rooms, nice setting in Tra Que village, good pool area. Some great coffee shops nearby. For a video review of our room, check out here: https://youtu.be/zhFn-OBnPa0?si=4J4xzKUq9YI-Ha6h

Lovely location, quiet, beautiful spot, not far from the beach, worth using the bikes they have. The Center of you an is a little further but very cheap in a taxi using Grab app to get too. Staff really helpful. Room lovely, piece and quiet away from noise of Vietnam. Love Vietnam just nice to have some calm time!

CanadaBreakfast was expensive for the quality. We did enjoy some things from the A la carte menu at Mua one afternoon, the duck was amazing but only had breakfast there once finding better quality and price a short walk away.
Quiet oasis away from the crowds of Hoi An. Tra Que mansion is literally at the end of the road on a gorgeous small lake just past the farms of Tra Que Vegetable village. Enormous quiet room with a comfortable bed, extremely clean. The only sounds were the roosters in the morning! We enjoyed the pool after a day of sightseeing, we used the bicycles to go to the beach in the morning and it was a 10 min taxi ride to Hoi An. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly with hugs goodbye on our last day.
