…I hate to think what the standard of our regular room would’ve been. Expectations were set very high sitting in the plush lobby but as soon as you leave the lobby reality sinks in. Everything is grotty from the hallway carpets to furnishings in the room and bathroom. There’s not enough power sockets in the room so lamps are just left unplugged. This was once a hotel called The Dragon Pearl, and the Skylark two doors down must’ve bought it and are in the process of converting it to their liking — which looks a higher standard. Unfortunately, it’s not only the lobby that deceives. All the advertised facilities are actually in the Skylark Hotel (again two doors down the street) including the restaurant for breakfast and pool. In my book, if you can’t walk from your room to the pool wearing your speedos then the hotel doesn’t have a pool - having access to one is not the same. An annoyance that really shouldn’t happen using this website: They kept us waiting to enter the room as they hadn’t set it up to our booked configuration. Don’t get me wrong at the price I paid it was worth it for two decent nights sleep. It was just below expectations set by the hotel. The Skylark looks nice.

I think it may have been going through refurbishment but you also have to walk out of the hotel down 2 buildings and into there sister hotel for the pool and breakfast ….. the sister hotel makes the skylark boutique look dated and in need of repair

I think we got overcharged by the transportation organiser because other travelers on the same bus paid half of what we paid. breakfast was dull (but we came 15mins before breakfast closed). One of the rooms we stayed in stunk very awfully because someone smoked in there…

We booked the hotel for a place to sleep. Old interior, room had no phone to call reception but shower and everything worked fine

A good value for money hotel that is 10-20 minutes of walk away from most major landmarks like the Old Quarter, Hoan Kiem Lake, etc. Staff was helpful and offered me an upgraded executive suite. Didn't have the time to try the breakfast, so can't say.

room was smaller than I expected and some facilities in the room were not working properly. Staff was quite helpful into fixing my requests, but the room could have used some repairs anyhow

Location was good, close to a lot of street food places and cafes and not far from the french quarter and bar street (15 mins walk). Staff was lovely, very kind and helpful. Breakfast was nice, decent variety of food. Room was clean.

Description slightly inaccurate but think as new to booking .com they ticked a few boxes by mistake like saying we would have a patio. WiFi weak.

Breakfast adequate . Location excellent. Lovely area opposite small park/recreation area. Staff very keen and professional. Allowed us to leave cases for free whilst we went to Cat Ba for three days

Need to improve the AC

We stayed here 2 different times , the location and staff at the reception were super friendly and helpful. We weren’t happy with some of the spa trea**ents we got the first time and Huy went out of his way to make it up to us , really appreciate it. My friend and I completely recommend the place . Very clean and good breakfast too

I like this hotel a lot. It's in a great location if you want to be in the center of things. It's very close to Old Quarter. The Staff is amazing. They are all so kind and helpful. Breakfast was pretty good and typical for hotels at this price range. The rooms are kind of basic but they are clean and everything worked well

The hotel is close to the street, so it's quite convenient, with a one-way road but easy traffic flow. There is a rooftop pool with a wide and beautiful view. The hotel reception staff is very good, especially Huy, Thuy and Thao

Need stronger AC

I had a great experience at Skylark, a 4-star standard hotel with a pool on the 9th floor, very spacious rooms, and very enthusiastic staff. The hotel is located on Phan Dinh Phung Street, convenient for visiting Hanoi, and offers a buffet breakfast for around 100k.

Skylark Hotel gives me a sense of comfort, modernity, and perfection. The staff is very professional and friendly. The hotel is near the street, so quite convenient, one-way street but easy to get around, with a rooftop swimming pool, wide and beautiful view. The service at the hotel is very good. There is also overnight parking available. It was even more convenient when I got to experience excellent Spa services here. Thanks Skylark.
