Although a bit dated, very clean, large suites that have everything that you need, and a large pool. Excellent value for money. I have stayed in the Sofitel Metropole previously, over many years. Now for several years I keep coming back to DWS - and have never looked back. Although the Metropole is much more elegant, DWS is just so easy and convenient at a fraction of the price.

The products in the bathroom weren't great. Hair conditioner would be nice and the shampoo had an unpleasant smell.

Nothing, accept the Taxi booked in the morning did not turn up on time , but the hotel staff booked another one immediately. It was not hotels fault but the Taxi drivers mistake.

There is free shuttle bus from the hotel to Old Quaters and back at schedule timings. The staff were polite, knowing english and well mannered.

Having a bidet in the washrooms would be a huge upgrade.

It was tucked away from the busyness of Hanoi. They also had a scheduled free shuttle which is great if you want to go to the shopping district or Old Quarter. Staff was exceptional.

The apartment was amazing , great room space. Pool was clean. Shop on site. Loads of facilities to use. Breakfast was full with loads of varieties.

Its not 100% newly renovated so you see a few kinks here and there, but nothing major. Sadly we had no time to try out all the nice things here (like the pool and restaurant).

Great and quite big apartment in a quiet part of town. Could sleep without earplugs. Restaurants and shops close by, Grab taxis easily available and there even is a shuttle bus to get you to downtown every day. Perfect contrast to busy and chaotic Hanoi. Washing machine even had detergent ready. Moskito nets at the window, what more could you need? Much better than other places I have stayed at in Vietnam that had better reviews, so it looks like they no not fake anything! Be careful of places that are too well rated especially in Hanoi and other big cites.

Although I had sent a request when booking for twin beds in one room, this wasn't arranged but an extra bed was found - at extra cost. We were told it would be an extra 800,000 dong then when we came to pay, it was $800,000 dong per night which wasn't made clear. Annoying when we didn't get a reply to our request in the first place.

Breakfast was excellent as was the management of the restaurant, staff etc. Staff were very friendly and obviously trained to keep the restaurant clean and tidy at all times. Food at other times was excellent. Situated in a lovely area with plenty of small streets to explore and great French-style cafes. Lovely grounds and a well-stocked mini supermarket on site. This place was a welcome change from the noise and hustle and bustle of the city.

Location is a bit far to get to the tourist sites Did use the shuttle service to get to the old quarter area of Hanoi Would be great if the establishment had a few more late afternoon shuttle service pickups from the opera house area
