Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

Breakfast was delicious: many different cuisines and every possible food you could want available to eat and drink Infinity pool on the roof and a perfectly good gym as well.

United Arab EmiratesOn our last day, a typhoon hit. While we felt very safe, I believe the hotel could have been better prepared, especially with food. They were aware of the weather conditions in advance, and the hotel was fully booked, yet they didn't adequately plan for the increased demand. Since going out was impossible, everyone had to eat on-site, and we struggled to get dinner. To be clear, this was for one day only—we weren’t locked in for several days. However, at no point did the hotel inform us about any food shortages. Had we known, we would have bought some supplies to keep in our room, but we assumed they were prepared to accommodate all guests.
The breakfast, location, and spa services were the highlights of this hotel, and the staff was also incredibly kind.
