Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

New ZealandIt was very noisy. Karaoke was going till late and then announcements were broadcasting on the street early in the morning. There was no where to go close by for food or drink.

United KingdomThe Air conditioning does not work. The television only has pay for view channel. The shower gel dispenser is all clogged up. The sink leaks. Limited choice for breakfast had a miserable bowl of instant noodles only.
Convenient as there's nothing else available near the hotel.

FranceThe worst hotel in a month in Vietnam I strongly advise against this hotel. It's not better than the others next door, just more expensive. We were called to check out the day before departure, we didn't understand so we were called back and hung up on. No big deal! We didn't have any breakfast (it was included in the package), except for bottled water. We didn't get the two free bottles of water per day. No problem! My brother came to eat at the hotel with us. They paid the bill and we had to pay it again the next day because they said it was wrong (we have my brother's proof of payment and mine). When we ate in the restaurant, the "chef" on the seventh floor, a man, stood next to us with a woman and they whispered things in each other's ears while pointing at us! We figured it was probably nothing, even if they laughed for a long time. We didn't say anything. The receptionist finally arrived in the room in the afternoon and asked us to check out, so we had to tell her we still had one night. I'd just come out of hospital, so I slept a lot. When we were brought back to our room to eat, the man from the seventh floor would force his way in and put down the dish, while my boyfriend would not. This happened several times during the week When it was time to pay, the man on the seventh floor came down, lied to his colleague and talked about us in front of us (we used the translator because we could see that there was a lot of disrespect in this hotel).

SpainConsiddering that the only complaint I can think of is the weather (in Feb.) that should speak for itself.
Roof, walls and floor all in wood(carvings). Nice welcom beautiful 'golden' elevator nice ladies at the reception. Quickly up to my room, cold beers in the fridge, loads of nice things to eat and drink on a side table with water cooker. Spacious room & bathroom, very comfortable big bed. Comfortable couch, chair and other furniture. Fresh air.
