Unfortunately, there were a couple of things that caught our eye in our Junior room. While the room itself was great, unfortunately the shower we had was plagued with grout that looked mouldy, which took away from everything else about the bathroom inclusive of the stunning view from the bathtub window. The hot water system cannot handle an entire cruise showering at the same time, as upon completing the first set of activities, everyone had the same idea of having a hot shower, with me leaving with the unfortunate situation where I had to shower in cold water. I was able to get hot water after the fact, once dinner service concluded but this did sour my experience slightly. The wifi on board also appeared to have connection issues.

The staff and the overall vibe were amazing! Staff were friendly, attentive and helpful! The itinerary is pretty much the same as every other cruise you are looking to book. The food was good for the 2 days and 1 night trip, with the shuttle bus limousine (separate cost) for pickup from Hanoi Old Quarter 5/5. Great communication from the beginning to the trips end.

Nothing. Everything was with what we expect if not even more.

It’s a newer vessel. Clean and classic. As we look along the Halong Bay and see other cruise boats, we get the feeling of ‘pride’ to be a part of a much nicer boat.

Our stay on Hermes cruise was fantastic. The Boat is beautiful, and compared to many others we saw, it was by far the best boat! Our room was perfect, we loved having our own balcony and enjoying that private space. Staff were impeccable from start to finish. We were made to feel very special, with lots of nice little touches. The food was great quality, lots of variety at the buffet lunch and brunch. Dinner was more western taste but still delicious, 6 courses, every one as good as the next. The cocktails we had on board were great, and very boozy! Booked last minute through booking.com and paid at the boat by card, no problems at all! We also arranged transfer, bus was great and we paid in with our cost when we arrived at the port. We searched cruise after cruise, looking for the perfect one, I’m so glad we found it! 🚢 Would recommend this cruise 100%

There are only two things we’d suggest to think of. Slightly refreshing/renovating the rooms, as there were some parts affected by being a hotel on the water. And adding some more entertainment to the happy hours.

The cruise was great! We had a really wonderful time. We went for a 3 days and 2 nights cruise and it was a perfect choice, as we had enough time to relax with beautiful views and go for day trips with the crew. We had a lot of fun going to the caves or kayaking. The crew was amazing! They were very helpful, welcoming and warm! The rooms were very nice and comfortable. The food was delicious.

I can’t tell you enough how absolutely amazing this cruise is. I did a 2 day one night stay with my husband on our honeymoon. There are many cruises to pick from to see this beautiful part of the world, but Hermes gives a level of luxury and tranquility that is unmatched. Tommy was a wonderful manager and tour guide for our off-boat adventures (stunning caves, cliffs, and beaches!!). Jack was so pleasant and accommodating, even setting up a private table for us to enjoy our dinner. All of the staff was kind, welcoming, and attentive, always wearing a smile. We are already planning to come back, and certainly will be staying two nights in the future. If you want the most amazing experience, do yourself a favor and book Hermes for your trip to Halong Bay

The only improving area is WIFI, due to the storm they suffered weeks ago, it had some problems, but it also a good option in order to disconnect and enjoy the views

We’ve been with my wife for one night and we’ve had an amazing experience. Everything is perfect in Hermes boat, the boat, the people working there… i really recommend everyone to explore Halong Bay in Hermes Cruise, with an amazing guide as Lham. Hope to come back

We stayed for 3 days. The 2nd day boat trip was in another smaller boat which is much less luxury than expected. The activities were good but the food was just average. Total 7 hours away from the main cruise boat was too long

The cruise is clean, our room - triple room with sea view is spacious and nice. The jacuzzi tub was amazing. Food is plenty and good. Our group leader Mr. Lam is friendly, humorous and did a very good job.

My husband never went on a cruise, so I booked the trip as gift for his birthday. Everything was lovely, room on boat was comfy, scenery and activities are great. We were very well-fed throughout the trip. The staff is super attentive. They even arranged us a surprise birthday cake and song which sent my hubby to a land of so many first time ever.

They don't provide free water for drinking as everything about drinks you need to purchase on board. Food wise, i think the dinner choices would be better to maintain as buffet style as the course meal taste moderately only.

Had a very enjoyable stay on the Hermes vessel for 3 days/2 night. I would certainly recommend staying for the 2 nights, so you can see more of what Halong Bay has to offer. It was very enjoyable sitting up on the top deck late afternoon, having a drink and looking at the amazing scenery. Lam, who ran the activities, was fantastic, and just added such a fun dimension to the stay. The full day event on the second day was also great, and very much worth doing!

Wonderful stay at the Hermes Cruise and the cruise manager Mr Tommy and the tour guide Mr Lam organised the short trips for us in the cruise and it was very nice and scenic too..Special appreciation to both of them and the entire team for being so friendly and welcoming to all guests..Their food was delicious and rooms neat and clean too..Will recommend to everyone who wants to try the cruise at a scintillating scenic view and good food

I would have liked to cruise around the islands as opposed to be anchored just thirty minutes from Hang Long and then ferried by tender to the surrounding area. The location was very busy with other boats and because of this it was noisy.

The excursions were very well planned, and Mr Lam was an excellent and very informative host. The food was very good. The ambience of the ship and its rooms was first class

Shower took a long time to heat up - about 3 minutes. This could have just been our room.

Beautiful boat, lovely room with the world’s best view! The staff were all really friendly and helpful, in particular Lam and Tommy who regularly checked in with us to make sure everything was ok.
