Room seemed a bit too small - perhaps it was the layout or the lack of a window (which was no fault of the hotel as I had opted for a windowless room) but it did make a room feel a tad bit too small

Great location right in the old quarter, everything is within walking distance - which I love because I prefer to walk around to explore the city

This is a lovely hotel in the heart of Hanoi. We spent 4 nights and it was a great experience. The rooms are very comfortable and clean and breakfast is very good. Kris and Lena at reception were lovely-friendly and helpful!! Thank you Hanoi Esplendor for a great stay!! Would stay here again if in Hanoi.

I arrived very late in the evening & i was hoping the could adjust my check out time like the ones i read here,,, but not for us. They charged us quite a hefty amount. Though i understood hotel rules. I was just hoping they could extend some leeway…. Check out time no one assisted us but at least we managed. Lena was gracious in our conversations prior to our arrival.

I liked the french provincial interiors. Good that it’s inside the old quarter area. It’s a boutique hotel, specifically liked the bed it’s very comfy. Bfast food is good though i did know that you could make request like scrambled egg or pho since it’s not on the buffet spread…

We absolutely loved our stay at the hotel. It’s in a great location in the Old Quarter - in the middle of everything but on the quieter side, farther away from Beer Street, which is a good thing in our opinion. The room was spacious, well-appointed, and had one of the most comfortable beds we’ve slept on since being in Asia for 4 months. Also, great shower with hot water and the staff, especially Lena, is lovely. Highly recommend!

There was a weird smell in all the hotel.. It was not bad but it took some time to get used with it.

The room was big, clean and the beds were comfy. The staff was very helpful and ready to help and advise. The breakfast is not much but it's a plus that is included.

Rooms and beds comfortable breakfast was varied and plentiful, some items a little cold. Hotel in good area and close for most attractions if not taxis are cheap.

Location- bang in the heart of the old quarter. Vibrant & exciting. Has old colonial charm Excellent facilities Clean- Staff, especially Lena are so helpful & can arrange anything for you from SIM card to limo. Great service-

If you’re in a room facing the road, the honking on the streets can start as early as 5am. Also it was difficult to get the rain shower to work. But I later figured out that I needed to pull the rain shower knob before turning on the water as the water pressure was preventing me from being able to pull once the water is on.

The staff were very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. And the location allows you to explore on foot and there are a great many many restaurants close by not to mention coffee shops and cafes every few steps.

From the moment we walked through the door and were greeted by the friendliest staff this set the tone for our stay. Lena at the front desk could not have been more helpful looking after us and arranging our day tour to Ninh Binh. Our room was really nice and comfortable and clean and the breakfast each day was lovely. After our stay we went on a 2 night Ha Long Bay cruise and we were able to leave our large cases behind and collect them on our return to Hanoi. We both had a Vietnamese body massage at the hotel which was amazing.

We used this hotel as a base for our travels around Northern Vietnam. We stayed here on 4 separate occasions. It's in a great location and was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were able to leave our luggage here while we were travelling. They also provided a very good laundry service. Highly recommended

Excellent location for exploring the Old Quarter but not too noisy. Superbly friendly and very helpful staff, Kris was brilliant and gave us local tips, recommended and booked our tour and cooking class for us. Lena had our booking all sorted out and arranged our airport transfer in advance. Nice selection available at breakfast including traditional local food. Gave us a very comfortable base for exploring Hanoi.

Nicely furnished hotel. Friendly. They arranged my trip to Ha Long Bay and arranged everything including a taxi to the airport on departure. The hotel is conveniently located near the Returned Sword Lake.

The room had a strange smell, but I get we got used to it.

The two best things about this hotel are: 1. THE STAFF! Lena and Kris were amazing, super friendly and helpful and gave great recommendations. 2. The double glazed windows in our room! Our room looked onto the street, and knowing how noisy Hanoi is, the sound insulation was so appreciated! The location is super central, walking distance to everywhere. We didn’t like the breakfast options that much so skipped that. Overall, it was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay at this hotel.
