This hotel was charming in every respect. The service was excellent. The staff were gentle, courteous, and understanding. They couldn't have been more attentive to our needs. They arranged all aspects of our stay , informing us of restaurants, places of interest and tours. The location was very convenient, being close to the center of the old town..The breakfast was superb with a wide variety of choices. We liked the older style architecture; the room was a little small, but adequate and spotlessly clean, with a comfortable bed. It was the perfect place for an older couple to relax and enjoy. We are keen travellers, particularly in Asia. Over all we were very impressed with this hotel .

This hotel is amazing. I cannot recommend it enough. We checked in and they prepared a little welcome cake for us for our anniversary, and had two swans made out of towels on the bed with flower petals. The staff are some of the friendly people I have ever met. They were very attentive and kind. The hotel is so clean and beautiful.

Only the sound proofing of the rooms could be better!

Being a vegetarian - they had a big spread of fresh fruits, fresh juices , bakery etc and apart from this the chef was giving hot and fresh local but vegetarian dishes which were delicious. The property is brand new and location is fabulous!Very young and energetic staff of the hotel - Jack the manager was very kind! Keep up the good work.

Room relatively small and some has no window view. Good value for money

Hotel is built from an ancient building very beautiful architecturally. It has very nice view from 9th floor on The Christian church saint Joseph built by the French. Staff very kind ready to serve you

Everything was perfect

Amazing location! In the center of the old quarter and very close to the french quarter. Rooms are spacious and very clean. Service is impeccable! From the minute you check-in to even after you check out, the staff makes you feel like home. Jack the manager and his staff went way beyond to ensure we have a great stay and everything is very smooth. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Hanoi.

Our stay was exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly and treated with utmost care by the amazing staff who provided excellent customer service throughout our stay, ensuring our comfort in every way possible. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a refreshing welcome drink, cool towels, and a thoughtful assortment of fruits and water in our rooms. The rooms were delightful and big with comfortable beds and really clean. The fast Wi-Fi was a big plus for staying connected. And the air condition was excellent. Breakfast was a true delight, offering a wide variety of delicious options to start our day right. We also took advantage of the laundry service, which was efficient and convenient. The hotel's location is perfect, close to everything ,the sites and a lot of great places to eat near by. We enjoyed every moment of our stay and would wholeheartedly recommend the Grand Hotel du Lac Hanoi to anyone visiting the city. We're already looking forward to returning on our next trip to Hanoi!"

The hotel was absolutely amazing, and the staff was even better. Sophia was a legend and took care of everything for us during our stay and even guided us of the best food spots and must visit areas during our stay in Hanoi. She went above and beyond to even help us plan our literary for Da Nang. Sophia thank you so so much and looking forward to our next stay!

Early check-in was quite expensive

Great facilities, great staff who will go the extra mile to make you feel comfortable. They helped us contact our missing driver in the morning. We only stayed one night, our first night in Vietnam, so we didn’t do any activities during the day. Plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops around, we could walk from the hotel. Breakfast was amazing, with buffet and menu card, very delicious! We asked for early check-in to get few hours of sleep, this cost us 50% of the night, so total cost for the stay turned out to be higher than expected. There is a small gym, which is a nice extra, we didn’t try the SPA. Would have stayed longer!
