How friendly the staff are, this is the friendliest hotel I’ve visited in Vietnam so far. Helped me with everything honestly and made my stay so pleasant. The property itself is clean, the communal area is nice and welcoming. It’s walking distance to the beach and the high street.

The shower in the middle of the bathroom is a little annoying since it soaks everything (the squeegee helps), but I see this is a typical thing in Vietnam anyways.

Our room was spacious and clean. They also have a vegan restaurant, which is very convenient. Also many non vegan people were eating there every night. The breakfast is vegetarian (they serve milk and eggs) but you can ask them to make vegan pancakes especially for you.

Clean hotel, friendly staff, and central location in Cat Ba. Free breakfast was reasonable. Lobby has a water refilling station, which was nice. Would certainly stay here again if ever in the area.

Only minor issue is WiFi did not work well in our room but was working well in reception + restaurant, but this was okay as phone reception was good.

For the price this is an excellent hotel. Clean room with good AC and large bed, fresh towels daily. Very good breakfast with lots of fresh fruit available. Staff were friendly and very helpful in booking trips into Lan Ha bay. Vegan restaurant on the ground floor is good value.

The bathroom had a little bit of mold and the floor everywhere was slippery.

Great value for money, great location and great hosts. The rooms were clean and spacious. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast is served every morning and it includes a variety of fruits, yogurt, pancakes, bread, coffee and tea. Check at the reception for tours around the bay as they have a couple of options, they are well organised and they are cheaper than booking online. They also own a vegetarian restaurant which is worth trying!

The shower had very little water pressure and would fluctuate in temperature

The staff were very friendly and welcoming! We were allowed to check into our room early at 9am when we arrived from our bus for no extra cost. The buffet breakfast was good with lots of fruit and fresh food constantly being brought out. Good central location. Staff helped to book our onwards travel and Lan Ha bay boat trip.

We liked everything about this hotel - its location is good, personnel in reception is nice and caring, breakfast tasty, room spacious and clean. You can order trip to Lan Ha bay, other activities and bus to your next destination in reception. Hotel also provides laundry services. We found our stay comfortable and good value for money.

Great location up the road from the main street. Linh at reception was unbelievably great and set me up for my few days in Cat Ba - scooter hire, Lan Ha Bay tour and bus back to Hanoi. Thank you Linh :) Breakfast was simple but just perfect for what I needed. Overall had a good stay at this property and really enjoyed my time in Cat Ba.

We loved our time here. Lan and her family couldn’t do enough for us, they gave us lots of information about activities the local area and cooked some great food! Bikes were free to use and a motorbike was easy to sort and well priced. Lot’s of happy families in the homestay and everything was clean. We would have stayed longer if it worked for our trip.

It was very humid in Cat Ba during my stay, but the staff did a great job constantly cleaning, mopping etc. to ensure the lobby, halls and rooms stayed very clean.

Great stay with Catba Green! Free breakfast, vegan restaurant on ground floor ("Celery"), nice rooms with fans, comfortable beds and hot showers. The staff were great, both in the hotel and the restaurant. I'd like to particularly call out Linh, who booked me on the most amazing afternoon and night kayaking/ beach campfire dinner excursion in which I saw the blue plankton at night from the kayak, absolutely AMAZING experience.

Only thing is our toilet leaked and bathroom floor was always wet but this was partially due to very high humidity.

Breakfast was awesome lots of fruit, Ho made donuts were the BEST, eggs and the coffee was delicious. Location was easy access to everything. Staff were so great manager spoke very good English and was great at arranging anything you needed. Maintenance man worked so hard at everything, even cooked us breakfast. Beds were comfy.

We had a room at the back which was cold and damp, but the weather was cold and damp so the whole town was covered in condensation! Aircon only for cold air and during our stay we needed hot!

Dinh the manager was so helpful before we got there and during our stay Good place to meet other travellers Breakfast was better than many and included in price. A good base to explore the area Comfy bed

This is a nice place to stay!! :) . Dinh the receptionist was so friendly and helpful, she helped us with arrange transport and activities and always very personal and lovely! The location is great, you can hire motorbikes from the hotel or rental places down the road. Close to cafes and restaurants and the sea front. Breakfast was good and the vegan restaurant below was good too. Only thing was we visited during a particularly humid time so there was quite a bit of condensation on the walls and floors so definitely bring flip flops/indoor shoes.
