Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesHad to walk up literally 99 stairs to get up to the room. Need to share one key card with your partner and need it to get into front entrance. Balcony was dusty and had no furniture.
Good location. Helpful staff. Spacious room. Upgraded us to a balcony when we were early for our room.

Overall, it's good value for the money. Don't expect anything fancy, but the staff is nice and the location is great. Their slogan is that "we can make the best" and they delivered!

GermanyWhile the room was overall very clean, there was a bit of mold in the bathroom.
The staff was super friendly and nice. Late night check in was possible. Communication in English was good. We could also book tours and busses there, which makes it super easy for travellers/backpackers. The room was clean. The location is great. There is also a party area not far away, but the hotel itself was quiet and we slept well.

FinlandDidn't have my room for the first night despite having made a reservation well in advance. They put me in an extremely moldy and smelly room for that night. After moving to my intended room, there was no hot water from the showers for the rest of my stay. The hotel lobby smelled often like burnt grease and there was probably a door to the kitchen of a restaurant from the 1st floor.
Good location, friendly staff. WiFi was good.

We stayed across the street a week previous and our experience was great, so we thought staying in the same location again would be a good idea but we were not impressed with this hotel at all

Location is excellent, near Ben Thanh market, walking street, shopping malls, restaurants.... I had a wonderful stay in Ho Chi Minh city, definitely come back...

SingaporeHotel is located at the back of a building so first night we could not find it as there is no main road fronting it. Just need to turn round the corner walk a few meters to locate. After first night, no problem at all. But perhaps good to let new customer be aware.
Thomas the owner was probably one of the friendliest hotel owners I have met. Helped us in more ways than one. booked all our tours for us, attended to our compliants instantly. Hot water heater not working, replaced by a brand new one the next day. I forgot my USD 100 deposit with him, he reminded me and returned me. Thumbs up !
