Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesOur bed was quite noisy. Although the room was very small, that wouldn’t be much of a problem if the mattress were more comfortable.
We really enjoyed the breakfast. Valerie puts a lot of effort so the guests can start the day with a culinary delight. The house itself is beautiful and the backyard is amazing, great view of the mountains and woods.

United StatesMy husband and I stayed at Timberholm Oct. 1-3 and had such a lovely stay! Valerie was so kind and extremely helpful with where to go in the area. We sat out on the back porch with a glass of wine each night and enjoyed the fresh air. It was such a fantastic view from the deck and the inn itself has such cozy vibes. We will love to go back one day!

United StatesI really did love the place but if I had to name anything that I wasn’t fond of it would be this : The stairs getting to my suite were steep with no assistance for bags. The one room window air conditioner with a fan to cool both rooms . it worked but it wasn’t my favorite .
The location was wonderful .it felt like it was nestled in the mountains .

Awesome location, close to everything but just off the main road to enjoy peace & nature. Valerie is awesome - so is the rest of the staff, the breakfast every morning, the hot tub, the yard, etc! Comfortable, clean, etc! We do not have a single bad thing to say! We hope to be back :)

United StatesBreakfast was only 8-9am. (Don't like getting up early on vacation so we did not get to do the breakfast part of the b&b) We arrived at 2pm, an hour before check in time, the host was a bit irritated but accommodated us anyway. I completely understand the irritation but we just drove for hours & were hot & tired...was a bit put off by negative reception. Despite that, our stay here was wonderful & highly recommend.
BEAUTIFUL scenery...smack dab in the middle of the mountain. The backyard overlook is spectacular & the fire pit was so nice. Room was clean & bed was comfy. 5-10 minutes to Stowe Village & restaurants & bars. 5-10 minutes to swimming hole & Bingham Falls.

CanadaWe chose the twin room for two. We are a cozy couple but note that the twin room is quite small and probably better suited to one adult or two kids. Still very comfortable, however! Also, there is a very friendly dog that hangs out in the common area (adorable!!) but if you're skittish around dogs, you may want to warn the owners prior.
We loved the charming, cottage aesthetic and the welcoming staff. The inn is located on the side of a hill and has a sweeping front yard with a gorgeous view of the mountains, along with fireplaces and seating areas. They have toys, games, a trampoline and a hot tub for late night soaks. The great room offers a cozy common area overlooking the mountains. We loved the breakfast options (not just continental style), and willingness of the staff to make the stay wonderful.

United StatesThere was nothing about this place that I didn't like. It was seriously just an awesome experience all around.
I cannot say enough good things about the Timberholm Inn. The Inn itself is charming and has such a lovely homey feel to it. Valerie was an amazing host, making sure to chat with you each time she saw you. The breakfast that was made for us each morning was fantastic and a great way to start the day. Added bonus each morning was getting to hang out with Lewis, the friendliest of dogs and a wonderful greeter. I spent some time just sitting in a chair on the lawn and taking in the views. It was so quiet and peaceful. The location of the inn was near a bunch of places to grab a beer or enjoy some of the local food. The room was a little small but that was very clear according to the website and really was just what we needed. It was my first time in Vermont and staying here just made the trip that much better. Timberholm Inn will certainly be on the list of places that I will return to again and again.

Timberholm Inn was a perfect spot for our girls ski trip. We had the two rooms at the top of the stairs - Sugar Maple Suite and the one next to that. It was very private and comfy. Beds were comfortable and and atmosphere of the Inn is really special. Breakfast was exceptional each morning. Val was a gem! Very friendly and helpful as well as having a great sense of humor. She MADE the experience!! Oh and not to forget Lewis the golden doodle. SOOOOO sweet and friendly! We'll be back for sure!
