New York City taxes are out of control. Almost half of the bill went to the government. This may be out of you control, but it will keep me from visiting NYC as often as I would like to.

The location was perfect. There were a lot of taxis available. Plus, the subway is near by. There were a number of parking garages in the area. It was also within walking distance to the Theater District.

The restaurants were generally unavailable except for some limited breakfast. There was renovation work underway.

The location for Manhattan was good. The hotel had some charm. We enjoyed the bar and the surrounding area. The "doorman" was very pleasant and helpful.

We had indicated in our booking that we were celebrating a special occasion for our daughters so we had hoped for a little something to mark the occasion. Our second hotel had a nice card and some treats for the girls to celebrate. We had four staying in our room and only enough towels for two…it was a lengthy process to obtain more towels.

It is a big hotel, and there are only 3 small elevators. During busy times, it was almost impossible to get in the elevator. At one point, we had to ride it up, just to be able to get on it to go down.

The air conditioning unit didn’t work on the last evening and although we asked for this to be fixed the service people didn’t check the unit properly so the unit was stuck on 80F

We had a few, small issues. For one, I don't know if this is an electrical issue or if our room/the hotel is haunted, but our lights were turning themselves on and off our entire stay. They'd wake us up in the morning and in the middle of the night and refuse to be turned back off! It was bizarre! At one point, we unscrewed one of the light bulbs and the lights STILL turned themselves on! I'm no electrical genius but I have no explanation for that and I've never experienced anything like it in other hotels. They also would flicker multiple times in a row, like off and on and off and on, not a lightbulb issue but fully turning off and on. The shower head pressure was awesome but I don't think the drains are prepared for it and by the end of a brief shower there would be a puddle of water in the tub. Not too big a deal. We didn't choose to bother anyone about it. Lastly, there is only 3 elevators and they are TINY. They can fit 6 people max and even with 4 you are all standing on top of each other. Add bags and it's an uncomfortable ride. There was also a bit of waiting for elevators around busy times, like check in and check out or dinner time. We talked to people that would wait for 15+ minutes and when an elevator finally arrived there would be no room for them in it.

The location was great, it was clean and nice looking, but the staff is the true shining star. From the person greeting us at the door, to the housekeepers, to the guy cleaning the lobby at 4am, everyone was genuinely sooooo lovely to us. Every single interaction we had was amazing. For the staff alone, I would stay here again. Special shout out to the valet / doorman, he is a lovely person, so funny and nice and he was there both when we checked in and when we were leaving and remembered small details about us from our brief arrival interaction, even remembering a small joke I made 4 days before! I was so impressed, I wish I knew his name. Give that man a raise!!

I did not like the small lobby and slower (but efficient) elevators. I really did not like that there was no microwave oven in the room. I did not like the dirty windows-I paid extra for a better view but I chose not to take any photos of the view because of that issue.

I liked the building and the room size. I liked the location. I loved that it was clean, quiet, no bed bugs. This is a very elegant hotel! Everyone was very nice and helpful.

Struggled a bit with power outlets and phone charging.

Great location. Comfortable room. The bedding was all very nice. Bathroom was good sized. Easy check in and friendly reception staff. I was able to arrange late check out.

The noise from inside the hotel got a bit loud, specially during the mornings.

Location is great! Near everything but get far enough from Times Square so as not to have the crowds there. Several subway stations within a few blocks. My room was adequate; though you could tell it’s seen better years everything work correctly.

The room was very clean, AC worked well, staff was friendly and quickly responded to any requests. Compared to other hotels we've stayed at in the same area, The Warwick was definitely the nicest. Great price for the quality and location. We'll definitely be staying here again!
