Like in most cities, good parking can be challenging. They do have two guest parking spots on the weekend, but you need to reserve in advance. Not a deal breaker though.

It was spacious and beautiful. The communcal space was both modern and cozy and large enough to accomodate all the guests comfortably. We also liked that it was within walking distance (25 minutes) to the United Center. The staff were also helpful and friendly. We only stayed one night, but it was great.

Nothing I didn't like - would definitely stay here again on my return to Chicago.

Great location, beautiful hotel. Booking in process was easy, the hotel felt safe and secure, and it looked very stylish. Bedroom and bathroom were both clean and a good size, and the bed was very comfy. I also loved the reading nook windowsill on the second floor landing, and made the most of it one cold afternoon to read my book in the sun. Staff were absolutely lovely, willing to make amendments to the breakfast menu (which was delicious) to accommodate my hatred of goat's cheese, and kind enough to look after my bags on my last day before flying home so I could spend the last few hours exploring the city. Highly recommend The Publishing House B&B to anyone visiting Chicago. If I make it back to Chicago I will definitely be back!

There’s no permanently staffed reception, but one gets used to the entrance system.

The design was very good, with a generously sized lounge on a full floor. Best was the home made breakfast: great quality and variety.

    I honestly can’t think of one thing I didn’t enjoy. I had a wonderful stay & wished I could’ve stay longer!

Great neighborhood; had no trouble finding street parking. The B&B itself was absolutely charming & stylish. The breakfasts were freshly made each morning & very, very good, as was the coffee. I enjoyed having access to the butler’s kitchen for midday coffee, leftover treats from breakfast, and ice. I also loved having the two cute little dogs running around. Made the place feel even homier.

This place has it all - great neighborhood, beautiful and comfortable rooms and common spaces!

Our only disappointment was that the water pressure in the shower was not strong. We assume this is due to municipal restrictions on new properties though. It was certainly adequate and would not keep us from staying again.

Location was superb - West Loop is a hip neighborhood with TONS of construction (quiet at night though!), converting warehouses into apartments and creating new/old residences with a sympathetic vibe. Easy subway ride or a 27-min walk to the Loop. This is not a typical hotel - there are no on-site staff except for at breakfast (when they pulled out all the stops - magnificent hot and cold meal with excellent coffee), but they are available by phone. Room was really something - enormous (we stayed in the room called Sinclair), quirkily and thoughtfully decorated, super-comfortable bed. The common spaces are inviting and cozy. The food scene in West Loop is unbeatable - edgy, fun, diverse.

There truly is nothing that I would change as the stay was so wonderful BUT if there were an option to have a humidifier in the room that would have been a game changer for the winter dryness.

The breakfast was AMAZING -- fresh ingredients and plenty of options for a gluten-free person like myself.
