To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.

Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The Presidio is conveniently located on State St a short walk from restaurants and theaters. The room was clean and comfortable.

United States of AmericaThe lights are a little bit dim and the wifi signals are not really good, but it's better than not having it at all I guess.
The location is pretty good, close to the beach and a lot of restaurants, but if you want to borrow a bike from them, you need to do it fast since there are limited amount of bikes there. It takes around 40min to get to the beach walking, don't ask me how I know that though :(

It's a great little motel - very centrally located, clean and quiet. The bed was very comfortable!

It was a little dark and dingy- a “putting lipstick on a pig” situation… an aging motel with a little sprucing up. But we did really enjoy staying here and appreciated everything the owners are trying to do to create a comfortable stay.
The location can’t be beat! So easy to walk, or use their provided bikes, to get to shops and restaurants. The bed was comfortable and the staff member who helped us was exceptionally nice and helpful. The price was affordable and we would consider staying here again.

SpainThe outside of the building looks very old and dirty but we were pleasantly surprised by the inside of the rooms. I feel like if they just made a couple of simple renovations (paint color for example) it would really make a difference.
The rooms are very modern and simple. The bathrooms are also very cute and the place is very clean.

United States of AmericaI didn't like that there wasn't coffee available in the small lobby area. A little table with fresh coffee in the morning would be very nice. Also while the room was very clean, the carpet was not. Our feet were dirty just from walking on the carpet so I would recommend slippers.
I liked the way it has the funky, old feel of Santa Barbara that reminded me of how Pismo and Avila Beach used to be before money moved in. I thought it was remodeled nicely to make it feel newer and comfortable. And I liked the bridgeway to our room with the tables, chair and lounge chairs.

United States of AmericaSensed the usual clientele were not considered honest as everything was glued down or bolted (lamps, alarm clock). Anything that could be lifted and taken. There was no coffee maker in the room and only one chair thought two separate beds for non-couples. Room too small for table. No outside set up for sitting and lounging on ground floor. Office offered no coffee for early travelers; I was told I could walk up 2 blocks to coffee shop. Management was rigid about every request. NO! with a smile. Did not feel they welcomed us with any graciousness. Wanted $20 more to stay 30 minutes past check-out time so we could enjoy our morning at the Mission without having to check out and live in our car. Good for overnite travelers, not tourists.
bed/mattress was excellent. Towels were luxurious. Room was unadorned but clean simplicity. Very small with 2 queen beds but adequate for 2. Bathroom large. Great shower with hot water on demand.
