We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThis hotel is located in a small town. This was our first visit there and we parked along the street in a parking spot right outside the motel. When we left the following morning, there was a parking ticket on our car. Apparently there was no parking allowed in the space from 2 AM to 6 AM but the sign that displayed that information was hidden in tree leaves that was that was not visible, especially to someone arriving after dark, as we did. I do wish the check-in staff at the hotel would have thought to ask us where we were parked at and to let us know that there was a free parking lot behind the hotel. We had no way of knowing that. So we are stuck with an unnecessary parking ticket that could’ve definitely been avoided. The only other slight issue for us was the mattresses were super, super soft. We much prefer a firmer mattress.
The property was very clean and well kept. Definitely upscale. They had really nice amenities in the bathroom. Pumps with body wash, shampoo, and conditioner.

ChinaAt center of small Oberlin down town. VERY close to the “central park”, the college and the conservatory of music, some restaurants, slow train coffee, etc. Super easy for travelers. Also, the food of the 1833 restaurant is quite good.

The most convenient location. Upscale but not pretentious. Rooms that are clean and bright and so wonderfully environmentally conscious. Bath products scented basil lemongrass (LOVE) and an excellent restaurant. Outstanding, caring staff too.

United StatesThe breakfast options were a little heavy... like sausage and egg biscuit, bacon and egg biscuit, pastries, etc. I was kind of jonesing for some fresh blueberries or something. (I ended up getting a bacon and egg on a biscuit, which I will vouch for it being pretty tasty! But not that healthy.) If they added a smoked salmon, egg white omelet, or a fresh fruit option to the breakfast menu, that would be awesome.
Central downtown location, convenient to Oberlin college and walking distance to shops. Clean and quiet room, with high ceilings and a charming view. We hung out and had dinner at the bar both nights and enjoyed our bartender, who was really sweet and friendly. The location of the bar, in the open, spacious lobby/ atrium, is really cool, it's a nice space to hang out in.

Lovely lobby and right next door to the admissions office (almost scary....) but it was so convenient since it rained! Parking was convenient. Staff was friendly and helpful. BIG bonus was the completely AWESOME environmental stuff the hotel has - the cool humidity thermostat that tells you if opening the windows is advised etc etc. It was just fantastic.
