When we got there most areas we clean and working. But the fridge was left open and smelt musty so I needed to clean it. There was soap,shampoo, and conditioner for the bathroom but no detergent for washing dishes.

The person dealing with me was very responsive and was flexible with our check in time.

The streets are busy and full of parked cars!

Comfortable and good value location in the North Shore part of Oahu. Easy access to a lot of the fun things to see on that part of the island. Comes with a hot plate, fridge, and microwave; also has access to a shared kitchen.

Room was quite small but we only slept there so its was bearable. No air con but they had a fan. Toilet door didn't close properly. Since we were staying in their house would have been nice for owners to say hello when we parked in driveway. Seemed a dodgy neighbourhood but we had no problems. Dogs barking a lot early in morning.

Close to Haliwa shops. Coffee machine and fridge. No milk or kettle though.

Tight parking - NO AC! This wasn't something I was NOT expecting or prepared for - please get a unit - was NOT comfortable in the evenings and hard to sleep because it was so HOT!

The rooster next door,

The place was very clean, a little on the small side, renovation need to be finished, annoying rooster next door that started at about 5am which is not there fault, but overall it was a good stay

Only downside was noisy animals at night and early in the morning at the neighbor's. But that's out of the hand of the host.

It is an extension to the house, so it shares an internal corridor to the main house and there is the only place I could get wifi access. The wifi signal was very poor at the back. It would have been nice to be greeted by the owner since it is such a familiar setting. I felt like I was intruding every time I walked past their living room and hearing the family members talking.

Comfortable bed, clean and has all you need for a good night sleep (no aircon but I don’t think you need it with all windows open).

Although we wanted to experience the locals living on the north side of the island, we were not prepared for the closeness of the houses. Thank goodness a parking spot was set aside for us as cars were tightly packed into the little Cu-de-sac. Certainly, different from Waikiki.

A microwave, mini fridge, and coffee maker are supplied. No air conditioning, but we didn't need it. fans were supplied

We did not like the size of the place. It was really just too small to be comfortable in for more than just a day or two. The kitchen area had 2 each of a bowl, fork, knife and spoon. There were no plates, paper towels, dish cloth or dish soap so that we could clean and reuse the dishes that were there. We stayed 5 days so that didn't really work well for us. It would be a good place if you just needed 2, 3 days max but any longer not really. Another issue is that it is quite noisy with neighborhood dogs barking and howling a lot plus every morning a rooster starts crowing usually between 5 and 6 but one morning at 4.

The location was great and had easy access to a lot of things. The unit was clean and I liked the use of a code to get in the door. Also, the owner was prompt in replying to questions.

1) The accommodation, particularly there being only 1 bed, when the booking was for a 2-bed. Our booking confirmation stated: 'Bed sizes: 1 double bed, 1 large double bed'. I messaged the proprietor asking why there was only one bed, & received a reply saying 'Sorry but is just one room, is just one bed'. The following day I sent a long message expressing dissatisfaction with the sleeping and other arrangements. Other residents were equally unclear about this. I received no reply and when I later looked back, saw my message had mysteriously disappeared. I sent a further later message expressing dissatisfaction with our stay and requesting a full refund.’ Interestingly I received a reply within half an hour saying ‘So I sent you a message saying that is only one bed and one sofa bed. Sorry but I can't refund. 2) The facilities. If there was a washing machine and tumble dryer as claimed, none of us there could find them. The shower curtain was too short for the shower so we had to put towels on the bathroom floor to soak up the water that flooded out. 3) The location - it was in the middle of a small, pretty rough housing estate where nearly all the neighbours had one or more guard dogs. The dogs barked and howled much of the time, including during the night.

It was clean. The TV streaming services.

Like anywhere in less urban areas of Hawaii - roosters may interrupt your sleep. Consider bringing earplugs to Hawaii.
