Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United StatesBuilding could use some updates. Rusted fixtures, scratches, cracks, etc. Basic wear and tear from an older hotel.
Though the building is a bit rundown, the rooms were clean, comfortable, and near plenty of restaurants, gas stations, and retail. Rooms also came with fridge, safe, microwave, and plenty of desk/drawer space. The free breakfast was excellent with a selection bigger than most of hotels this value. For the price, it's a great value and comfortable stay.

United StatesI requested a quiet room on top floor through Booking.com. Front desk told me I had to stay in a basement room, but assured me the motel was not busy. My window was level with the parking lot-I feared for my security and I could hear people coming and going from their cars. I was next to the vending machines and ice maker. I lost a lot of sleep; front desk person was unsympathetic to my complaints.

United StatesThe odor of pet urine was obvious as we entered the room. We had to open the window part way to air the room out, but the screen was partially broken. The dog across the hall was loose and "went after" my husband. The noise from above our room was loud and excessive. The breakfast was poor and the waffle maker was not working and the batter not available. The freezer compartment in the refrigerator was totally frozen. There was only one pack of regular coffee for the coffee maker in the room. The bathroom floor was sticky. If we hadn't been so tired from our journey, we would have left.

Nothing. It was awful. Only served until 9am but that information was neither told to us at check in nor posted or written anywhere. No matter, the breakfast was the worst we’ve ever experienced at a hotel. Juice machine out of order the entire time. Only one cereal container half full. Coffee very watered down. Biscuit gravy very runny and watered down. No eggs, sausage etc. Really awful.
