Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandThe rooms are quite small. It felt crowded with the two of us and our modest luggage. The bed took up most of the width of the room so whilst it was possible to manoeuvre around the bed, it was a very conscious manoeuvre.
The view was stunning. Get the high floor, you'll just find yourself sitting and watching the city every chance you get.

AustriaThe elevators in the building sometimes force you to wait for up to 10 minutes. The breakfast is okay, but not exceptional and the AC in the room was pretty loud (at least for European ears). The shower cabin was leaking.
Staff was very friendly. The location of the hotel is very central and easy to reach by public transport. For Broadway lovers this location is perfect between theater and Chelsea vibes. The street is a fun green oasis, because of many flower shops.

HungaryUnfortunately during our stay there was a water pipe problem in the building and they needed 2days to fix it. Because of this we ended up not having hot water in our room for 1 night. When we mentioned this at the reception they were kind and patient with every guest and offered to give back our money for that night. All together we enjoyed our stay and everyone was kind to us and understanding.
For me the breakfast was okay, they have a working system even at the busiest times. Still sometimes you have to wait a little. They have a 24/7 gym and the location is spectacular. If you are lucky you can have an amazing city view.

SwitzerlandThe family room is tiny (21sqm for 4 people) so it requires smart logistics to store all your luggage and move around. One more point of criticism is that the bedsheets looked worn out and the pillows and blankets (not covered by the sheets) showed yellow coloring and looked old, which is giving an ick and making you think of the hundreds if not thousands of people who slept there before you.
Located in the heart of Chelsea it‘s taking you little to no time to reach all major sightseeing locations of Manhattan, either by walking (K-Town, Greenwich Village, Times Square are a 15-20min walk away) or subway - with multiple stations within 5mins walking distance of the hotel. We were lucky to be accommodated in one of the higher levels facing Downtown (Uptown is better in our opinion) and the city views especially at night are amazing. All amenities, towels etc. are sufficient for this kind of hotel and was refreshed on a daily basis. Breakfast service was friendly and quick, despite being busy during peak times and the food / beverage selection was generally fine. 24/7 open coffee / tea bar available in the lobby. Despite the 40+ levels, elevators were really quick and waiting time was never more than 3mins (we‘ve experienced way worse before). Overall we enjoyed our stay here.

United StatesNeighbors across the hall banging the door shut and talking loudly in the short hallway. The hotel has no way to control people's manners.
The breakfast staff is excellent and the food offerings are varied. The bed is comfortable and the bathroom, though small, was clean and shower is powerful. The view of the south of Manhattan from the 35th floor is stunning. The front desk staff is very knowledgeable and helpful.

AustraliaWe booked airport transfers back to JFK through the hotel. Our booking was for 3pm - 3:15pm. However we received an angry call from the driver that the hotel partnered at 2:45pm with advising that we were late even though it was a good 15 minutes before our booked time slot. This made our experience leaving the hotel quite rushed.
This hotel is in a great location to main subway stations including 28 St and 34 St. Our room was clean and comfortable with beautiful views over the city. The free breakfast included was an added plus.

ItalyThe room was small and what was supposed to be a studio was just a tiny room with a coffe machine, a small frigo and microwave on a shell, no cutlery. Although the breakfast was delicious, every morning there's a long queue to get a table and even if the staff is very helpful, it's really stressful
I liked a lot the position, close to the metro and to time square as well. Breakfast was very good and we always got extra cleaned towels which was very appreciated

United StatesWhen we arrived, we were told that there was an issue with the pipes on our floor and they were sending us to another hotel for the night. The hotel was 1.5 miles away. They did not offer transportation but instructed us to walk or take the subway. When I called the next morning to check to make sure our room would be ready, we were told it would be ready at 4:00 checkin. I asked how we would be compensated for the inconvenience and was told that they were not charging us for one night. But then I was told that they had oversold which is why our room wasn’t ready the first night. It was great that we were compensated but I don’t like that we were lied to about the reason. We were able to bring our luggage early in the morning on 2nd day and they held it for us. They also allowed us to do a late checkout since our airport ride was going to be coming an hour after normal checkout. I felt the communication was not good. It was very unsettling to arrive in town and be told we didn’t have a room. I booked the hotel months prior to the trip and don’t quite understand why our room was not available. Overall, the hotel made up for our inconvenience but I hope this isn’t normal practice.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. It was nice to have free breakfast. (Although very busy and crowded- the upstairs was the worst). The location of the hotel was fabulous and the front desk staff were mostly wonderful! It was clean and in the middle of the flower district. Free snacks every night around 4-5 pm.Front desk staff gave us a great suggestion for a good Italian restaurant! Some people commented that the elevators were slow, but overall, I thought they were just fine.
