The beds were not queen beds they were full. They were doing electrical work but failed to notify us so the electricity went off while I was in the middle of using the microwave and it was off for over three hours, even though when I called the front desk they said it would be off for a few minutes.

The location and it was clean.

If your room is facing the road, you had better like the sound of really loud, obnoxious motorcycles, but that is true for any motel in this area.

The rooms are nice...clean and well maintained. Way better than I expected for the price. The stream behind the motel with a fire pit and outdoor lounge makes for a relaxing evening. The restaurant on the property is also excellent. No need to search for a good place to eat. I also liked the convenience of being a short distance from the Wheels Through Time motorcycle museum.

Rooms need better lighting

Love the property. Rooms were very clean. Beds are comfortable It's a very quite place at night. Had no problems of any kind and this was our 2nd time staying there.

We’ve stayed here before in the past and everything was great. This time we noticed the property could use some improvements. The outside ice maker was broken so you had to go into the office to get ice. The wallpaper in a few places was bubbling up and you could see daylight under our door. The door didn’t seal with the threshold and it leaves a gap allowing anything that crawls to be able to come in. We woke up to ants everywhere. My husband went to check us out at 10am and to tell them about the ants and get some ice but the office door was locked with no one in site. They left a small bucket to drop keys in.

The location was great for the purpose of our trip. Restaurant was nice and had great food. The bed was very comfortable.

The TV that was mounted on the wall in room 115 was falling off the wall so we were a little concerned that it might possibly fall on someone. The bathroom sink had a large crack that was held together with duct tape.

The room was cozy and had everything we needed.

there were some people with big pets walking them and not picking up where they went to bathroom, my wife and I about stepped in piles in different spots. also ice machine did not work, no way to get ice.

When you first come into the place where the rooms are the lobby area smelled like pot most of the time. Having kids with us especially a teenager, that was always a fun conversation.

The location was perfect. The restaurant was really good and very convenient.

The only bad thing I can say is..who ever our neighbors were, was up all night going up and down the hall and the stairs, which was very loud.

I wish the room we stayed in had a front window. It has windows facing the back of the hotel so you see outside. Not much to dislike!

Rooms are big and well furnished. Love the grounds near the creek. Good food and atmosphere at Valley Tavern. It was our second stay within the last few months. Our favorite place to stay in Maggie Valley.

Room assigned at check in wasn’t same type as I booked. Thankfully I had printed the email and brought it with me showing what I booked, so after lots of staring at it the clerk gave us the right type room. And thankfully there was still one of those rooms available. So there appears to be a disconnect between booking.com and your reservation system.

Happy the rooms are updated since it’s an older facility. Like the charm of the lodge.

Bathtub would not drain even after they worked on it. Gas free replace didn’t work.

I liked the cabin feel.The large rooms and the beds were comfortable.
