This was a decent place to stay for one night but I probably wouldn’t stay again.

The floor was filthy and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in weeks! There were a few sticky spots that I wiped with wet tissue and it was completely black. The bathroom fan didn’t work so the bathroom could not air out. The whole room was hot and humid because of that and the air conditioner took a long time to cool the room down.

One of the morning staff was a bit rude to me when I asked a question at breakfast. Even another guest I didn’t know made a comment on it. The breakfast wasn’t great. One morning the porridge was really runny, the next day it was like cement, maybe on the third day it was just right 😆 but I’m not Goldilocks and I only stayed two days. I booked this place to use the pool after the long days hikes. No chance. When I was there there was 2 or 3 families who had travelled together who completely hogged it. There is also a picnic bench outside some of the rooms that a family or two gathered around each night until late being a little noisy. All that being said if you just want a base to sleep it’s worth it, but if you really want to use the pool maybe try somewhere else because it’s small and you may feel uncomfortable using it.

Large comfortable room. Decent location. All round it was a decent base if you just want a comfortable bed and then you are out all day. Joe who worked there was a really nice bloke. Sorry I didn’t get to hear your full SuperBowl story Joe.

It would be great to hide the road from the pool because of the noise and privacy. But everything else was very nice.

The room was very comfortable and pretty. The staff was nice. The hotel is very near from the arches national park.

Pluses: Fantastic location, convenient for a day at Arches & Moab, helpful staff, and quirky style.

    • Queen Room with Two Queen Beds - Non-Smoking

The double-queen room is fine but not much better than fine -- the beds were comfortable, the curtains allowed us to darken the room, the AC worked, and hot water came out of the tap, all of which which I appreciated. But it's no larger or fancier than a motel6 room, so don't expect any space to spread out. The breakfast bar was average-to-poor and at peak times there really isn't a lot of seating (which causes the tables to be somewhat dirty-- this is not the staff's fault, they just don't have time to clean between folks leaving and sitting down). And so much plastic and styro waste!

The location of the Expedition Lodge is perfect for folks wanting to visit the Arches monument (it's only a 10-15 minute drive) and walk around in downtown Moab (the lodge is on one end of the main drag and one block away from the large city park). In short, it's the location that you're paying for. The facility is decorated with a vintage-esque style that's pretty cute. The staff were kind, knowledgeable, and accommodating (they let us stow our luggage for a bit because we arrived ahead of check-in time).

Maybe the walls are a little thin, I could hear people next door and kids running up and down the stairs.

The property is very close to Arches National Park. Our room was comfortable and clean. It wasn't perfect, but everything was good. A bit outdated but we only stayed there for a night. Breakfast was also good.

My only complaint on the room is the building has no insulation and seems very hollow so you can hear people walking next door and upstairs. The walls are so thin you can hear people talking.

The room is nice and clean. The pool is awesome with a water slide. The waffles at breakfast were very good as well. Its also it a great location with a awesome Italian restaurant 3 minutes walking.

Each time we arrive the floor is dirty. Everything else in the room is clean but they don’t seem to wash the vinyl floors. People put their bikes in the rooms, which is fine but the floors should be cleaned between guests. The kids’ feet are always black from walking on the floor so we borrow a mop or ‘skate’ around on chlorox wipes and clean it ourselves.

We’ve stayed here several times. The kids love the pool and slide! I love the huge rooms the whole family can stay in together. The breakfast is great. You can walk to shops and restaurants, great location.

We like the location. It is closed to everything (parks, restaurants, souvenir stores, etc). They have good breakfast (hot and cold), with variety of them (cereals, muffins, oatmeal, hard boiled egg, fruits, sausage/egg muffins (store bought, just have to heat it) waffle, coffee, hot chocolate, juice, to name a few). I like that they have 3 beds in one room, perfect for a family of 3 or 4 who doesn’t want to share bed.

The floors were not carpet and needed a good mopping. Our clean socks were really dirty after walking in the room for a few minutes.

It’s right on the main strip in Moab, and less than 10 minutes from Arches. The pool isn’t huge, but it was just our family at the time we went in. The kids had a blast on the water slide. The included breakfast had lots of options, and we also made use of the various arcade cabinets.
