Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesI am a doughnut lover, so that would have been a real delight to offer doughnuts. Also, years ago, I stayed at a Residence inn that had a waffle maker; as good as it was, I suppose in a large group of people, the time needed to make one became problematic.
Breakfast was plentiful and a very nice variety…something for everyone. The people working there were pleasant and accommodating.

United StatesThe in-house restaurant is only open until ten, and closed on Sundays. Some of the little things are unworthy of a hotel at this price point and could be greatly improved with little extra expense (pillows, toilet paper, toiletries). No in-room safe. (Seriously, I’ve stayed in hotels at 1/3 the price that have safes in the rooms.)
The location is fantastic, and makes up for a lot. The staff is great, very friendly. Valet parking is great, and while expensive, it’s reasonable considering the location.

CanadaThe only reason I am giving a lower score was the rooms desperately need an update. For the $$$$, I would have expected something a little less old and tired.
The STAFF!! They were amazing. Friendly, helpful, and so welcoming. The young lady at the front desk, I should have gotten her name, was one of the nicest front desk clerks I have ever encountered. We were early, and it wasn’t an issue at all.

The location of the hotel, in the center of a dynamic area, 5min walk from the trolley station, making it super convenient to explore then the city. Also 10min walk from the Sea side through the Convention Center stairs, great to admire the lights from Coronado Island at night time. The people at the front desk were very helpful during my stay: Monnet helped me to shape a one-day-discovery trip & advise me with yummy restaurants (loved La Puerta and went twice!), Raleigh helped me to find super shop Ralphs so i could come back to France with yummy american foods I liked also the set up of the room with the kitchen/table area, which allowed me to dine my "on the go" food as standing alone in a restaurant would not have been fun at all
