Expensive breakfast with hardly anything to drink, and e.g. no milk to go with the cereals. Location is a bit in the middle of nowhere: 1 mile walk from train station to airport, 5 mile walk from downtown.

It really felt like this hotel overlooked a lot of very minor things that could have made the stay much better. The phones in the room are extremely outdated, updating these would elevate the experience significantly. The hotel is pet friendly but there are no decent places to let a pet potty, and they are not allowed in front of the hotel. Additionally, having to walk through the lobby to let them out is really inconvenient, and I'm not sure I've ever stayed at another hotel where I had to do that, typically a hotel has a side exit. On the topic of exits- this hotel labels their stairwells as exits, but neglects to inform guests that they are fire exits only, and that you cannot just go outside. The bed was quite uncomfortable, though neither my husband nor I like very firm mattresses, so someone who prefers very firm mattresses may find them much more comfortable. While this is enough to prevent me from personally staying here in the future, it would be an ideal hotel for couples without a dog.

The AC was quite dated and extremely loud in the room. Also, no fault of the hotel, but for solo female travellers the area the hotel is in, is not the safest and is not good for walking around outside even to nearby shops.

The room was great and excellent facilities like the gym with modern equipment. Staff were really good as well

My room was oriented towards Quebec street and was thus a bit noisy during the day.

I had a good time, as the room was nice and spacious, there were several things to do inside the hotel (restaurant, swimming pool, fitness), and the staff of the hotel was kind and polite. While the hotel is not located in the city centre, it is possible to take the bus or train close from the hotel.

They have gated the hotel from the nearby community which I understand but it’s a hideous site to behold.

Fire alarm went off walked down all 12 flights of stairs with 2 kids at 10pm to find out it was a false alarm and no one bothered on saying anything and was just offered a water

The reception is not too helpful. I was already charged before arrival and they tried to charge me again when I checked in. When I left, I asked for an invoice but they insisted they do not provide one and I have to ask for it from Booking.com although I told them that Booking.com does not provide an invoice. I had to then call them after I left (luckily I didn’t leave the US straight away as they do not have an email address and only take phone calls) and the gentleman who picked up the phone sorted out for me straight away.

The room is clean and the bed is comfy.

Housekeeping never put a new toilet paper roll in our bathroom when the toilet paper on the roll was running low. Thank goodness I travel with baby wipes.

Ángela at the front desk was phenomenal. She accommodated us and her service, helpfulness and kindness was superb. Made us feel at home .

Carpet in room was oddly burnt in a couple places and this wasn’t announced in advance. In addition, I feel that basic amenities like at least 2 complimentary water bottles, swabs, and q-tips are expected. Our lotion mini-bottle was half empty, and VERY clearly used, and while that’s cute for environmental purposes, we can all at least refill a bottle and wipe the lid.

Ambiance, pillows, sheets, bathroom, white noise, elevators, staff. Lounges look nice. Parking is PAID but covered. Beds were clean and comfy in the 6th floor unit we were in (no bedbugs we can see; eggs take weeks to hatch—fingers crossed.)

The agent charged me and I had already paid for my stay. Charge still pending and having to wait for the drop off process is never a good experience especially when the charge should have never been taken. Also, the restaurant/bartender stated he could not process my card on his register stating something was wrong with my card, however it clearly swiped for the check in process and I had to go to to the atm in their lobby and it worked just fine because I paid the bartender in cash. Just not an acceptable experience considering the type of establishment and reputation the hotel is marketing.

I wasn’t aware that the hotel was under construction when I booked. I was hoping to spend some time in the lobby that was pictured in the website, but it was closed for remodeling.

I was able to check in much earlier than check-in time.

There was no microwave, so all the food we got to-go was basically just thrown away the next day bc we didn’t wanna go down to the lobby to make our food

The staff was very kind, the balcony view was nice, and the room was very clean upon entry
