Definitely over due for some updating/remodeling to give it a more modern feel. Especially better lighting throughout and in the bathroom for the ladies. the carpet in the halls is pretty ugly and worn out. Mattress was worn out also and had some craters in it but it was bearable for us.

For the price it’s pretty good. Free parking is great. Not too far from everything. Place felt clean

Our electronic door keys didn't work on more than one occasion. We even had to change rooms.

The location near Arlington National Cemetery can't be beat.

There was no breakfast service and the pool was closed, which was very disappointing.

The price per night for the location was very good and made our trip to DC very affordable.

Need termite treatment- lots of small ants when keep food outside

Supermarket and restaurants near by , but need to climb a hill ( 0.5 miles)- good for exercise, difficult for old and poor health people

The hotel is pretty downtrodden, the ceiling in the hallway was leaking, the swimming pool seems to have been closed for years, the rooms on the street side are noisy (I had them move me to the opposite side of the building), and the adjoining restaurant is permanently closed.

The bed was comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was good. The room was really big. The staff had helpful advice on the local area.

Next to the multi-lane higway (but if you use the air conditioner, you can't hear the traffic). Carpet floor (difficult to clean) and "old" smell. Old style furniture. Wifi (unsecured network).

Near the metro station (3 lines) and supermarkets, 10-15 min. by foot. Free coffee / tea at the reception mornings (7-10). Micro and fridge in the room.

Wifi uses security certificates which have expired, this is not safe. Wifi coverage and bandwidth is insufficient and unstable.

Convenient location close to Metro and shops. Fine beds.

Not all cleaners but young room cleaners were cleaning room not wishing to do thier job, and always commenting something in Spanish, since we do not speak Spanish most likely words were related to us.

A light breakfast to start the day and save time would have been great.

Access to the metro rail and cost were the main reasons the hotel was selected. Since no food was available at the hotel, a list of nearby restaurants that was provided was helpful.

Had to unplug a lamp to have outlet to power my mobile phone. Drapes had a hole that needed repair or replacement. Had to request that three cracked and unsightly lampshades be replaced. No lobby or space to sit and read or day dream.

Close to Metro. Walking distance to some restaurants. Clean room.

Tatty, dated decor that needs a thorough clean. Bathroom not very clean, especially shower curtain. Room not cleaned once during entire stay, and bins not emptied (even when placed outside the room for two nights in a row). Some staff much more hospitable than others.

Room was dirty trash on floor behind curtains. Tub wouldn't drain while showering I wouldn't stay there again. Smelt musky as soon as you hit the second floor.

Some people smoked in their rooms or hallway and occasionally the smell of tobacco/weed would come under the door. We stuffed some towels along the floor and that helped, but it was annoying.

Clean and so, so quiet. Easy to get into the museum sector with a quick train ride. Comfortable beds with lots of pillows were lovely. Slept so well!

I think all hotels should have a grab bar in the shower, especially when it is in a tub. I am in my 80s and was nervous getting in and out. Also, the lighting was rather poor in the bedroom. The hotel was a longer walk from the Metro than the hotel had indicated. (I walked it 7 times altogether, twice with suitcase.)

Room was comfortable, easy to get to, Bed was fine. I was surprised by fridge and microwave. Liked the clock, easier to read than my clock at home.
