There was nothing not to like, but the main thing is the staff.. especially the Valet gentleman. He was sooooooo helpful and cordial.

We come down to NOLA about every 2 or 3 months..and have a few favorite hotels to stay at in a rotation. This was our first stay at Hotel Provincial, and it is now on our list. Excellent Location, Staff, and Price. We couldn't have enjoyed it more.

It's in a very old building which shows in some places. That's part of its charm but you just have to know what you're getting.

This is a great boutique hotel on the edge of the French quarter. All the charm you want. And Close enough to walk to everything but just outside party bubble so it's Nice and quiet.

We stayed in the back building-room 537. The elevator and lobby of that building had a horrible trash smell due to bringing out trash through that corridor. It was a horrible smell. The area by the elevator was dirty, grimy and smelly. It detracted from our experience each time we left or returned to our room.

I will remember to make sure to book the next room, not near .. Early morning was loud a couple of mornings. I didn't think about people coming back after all night partying.

We booked for our honeymoon but were assigned a room on the exterior of the hotel where we could hear the raucous sounds of one of the nightly tours every night. There were concerns about privacy as a result of this placement.

The location was amazing! We were within walking distance of most everything in the French Quarter. The Valet staff was always very helpful.

Unfortunately, you can hear a lot of the other hotel guest outside in the early morning as they leave. There's not a lot you can do about luggage carts being moved across cobblestones.

Great location within the french quarter, everything is walking distance. There are a lot of cafetaria but I heard no noises from the street. It has a pool that guests can use (I did not use it so I can not say if it is good). Nicely decorated in charming old style (shutters, fireplace). Nice beds and shower. Very friendly staff, they will help you with for example booking a taxi and guiding the guests to their room.

The location of the hotel is excellent, the building is old (like all the buildings in the French Quarter) but definitely maintained. A somewhat strange hotel structure with several buildings, we stayed in a room by the pool which was pleasant and comfortable. We took a room with 2 double beds to earn a large room. The area is quiet, but very close to the noisy streets, overall satisfied.

- morning coffee in lobby was a life-saver - My sister and I enjoyed breakfast at The French Toast and it was perfect - on a 98 degree day, the room was refreshing - the beds were so comfortable - didn’t want to leave the shower - front desk staff were so gracious
