Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta, Iceland, Australia, Greece, Brazil and North Carolina. For properties in these regions, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesI asked 5x for a coffee maker before it was sent to my room. Cleaning staff left dirty glasses in the room and didn’t replace with new ones. Part of the facility fee was getting 2 bottles of water in the room every day but that wasn’t done unless I called. The elevators took so long that on 2 occasions I just took the stairs. There seemed to always be one of four not working and the lobby got too crowded

NetherlandsToilet did not flush so I had to manually fix that by doing things that you should not be doing in a luxury boutique hotel. Was fixed the next day.
Wow, what a location. Tons of restaurants, bars, shops, culture just around the corner. Spacious room with beautiful view of the city. Breakfast with plenty of options.

United StatesBreakfast vouchers not equal to the number of room occupants - which is cheap. Only valet parking = $70/night which is excessive. The room rate was just over $250/night and by the time you added all the taxes, fees and parking it was over $400/night. Good hotel, but not worth $400+/night.
Location was great and close to restaurants and the river. The room was good - not exactly like the pictures (missing a few of the accent pillows to make it look first class). But the shower and amenities were all good.
