I love that this place is not too big. This allows the staff to interact with guests making their stay memorable. Our family is a fan of great customer service and great customer service is what we got. From the front desk staff to concierge, bell boy, valet, housekeeping, wait staff, and even the maintenance crew. The front staff and concierge were very helpful. This was our first time visiting Pacific Beach and there are so many things to do! We were provided with information on local attractions, like Belmont Park, SD Zoo, Old Town San Diego, Petco Park because we are a huge baseball fan, as well as the different eateries in the area. Our first night, we were looking for a good Mexican place to eat at and Dan recommended Oscars. We will never forget. The food was fresh and delicious! Whatever we needed the staff addressed them with care in thought. I ended upgrading our room to full ocean view on our last night stay. Dan the concierge who also works the front desk took care of everything and ensured the process did not interfere with our plans. We did not have check out of our room and were assured that we would continue to have access to it until our new room was ready and that if we decided to not be present, the staff would move our belongings to our new room, which exactly what happened. We packed all of our belongings and the bellboy transferred all of our belongings to our new room. When we got back, we were issued new keys and were told that our belongings are in our new room. Housekeeping kept our room meticulous and even made different animals out of towels everyday! The waitstaff always made our stay at poolside very nice by bringing our beverages and food. They also kept the area clean! My husband struck a conversation with their maintenance man, Bob, who was working to ensure the pH balance to the hot tub was where it needed to be. He was very personable. He ended coming to our room with Johan to make a minor adjustments to our AC.

The hot tub was completely occupied by a family of small kids on several occasions. Doesn’t have the same romantic vacation vibes for young childless couples.

So great for a couple looking for a classy place to spend a day by the beach (they rent beach chairs, towels, and umbrellas for free). Walking distance of all the restaurants, good location for a morning run.
