Location can be scary sometimes with a lot of homeless people next to the hotel

Great staff, very polite, regards to Melinda who was very nice to me giving instructions and tips about the location and around. The hotel is very good, the facilities are nice and the cleaning was on top, also the bed is very confortable (the king one). The location for one side is good, centralized next to good restaurants and cafes but close to it has a lot of homeless and people addicted, I didn't feel unsafe about it because they are most inofensive, but It can be very scary sometimes tho.

Close to heaps of homeless folks. Asked for late checkout in morning, they agreed to 1pm, then later they changed to 12pm. Wasn't a huge issue though.

Location good, but only 2 blocks from some rough living on 6th Ave....although they seemed harmless. Very nice facilities in hotel.

My room was very comfortable, and stylish, and I liked the location of this hotel. Close enough to BART and Market street to get around, but in a quiet area.Lots of places to eat around. Staff was friendly but not intrusive.

Beds were a little hard. Coffee in the mornings I had to ask like every day for non dairy. Not sure why it wasn’t available that should be standard.

It was nice and staff were very friendly. I wanted a bath stop and someone was able to provide which was nice.

Nothing in particular, the room looked bigger on the website than in reality.

Many things : The Hotel is beautiful in the inside, very welcoming, a good restaurant just aside (in the building). Everything was clean, the room cleaning service was satisfied. We really appreciated that the coffee is free at the restaurant, detail that matters. Perfectly located near what we wanted to see! No homeless disturbing in the front, but it could be around the streets, there’s some everywhere pratically.

Nothing concerning the hotel in itself. Only issie: I confirm what I read in other reviews, that in the surrounding area (all around Union Square, down towards Market St - a very good position) there are quite a few weird, poor people - so sad. But we kept our eyes open and didn't feel particularly in danger.

Stylish, beautiful hotel I would absolutely go back to and recommend. Super comfy bed in our lovely, large king room full of colors. Bathroom was very spacious too. A water (+ ice) dispenser was available on our floor, a great plus indeed. Another sustainable practice I appreciated is that the bed sheets were not changed daily, but just ironed (I would extended it to the bath towels too - i.e. changed only if left on the floor) Last but not least, the staff was very kind and professional.

The fan in washroom didn’t work. But air conditioning was great. Able to adjust temperature to preference.

Nice hotel. Good location. About 10 min walk to Market street to catch the cable car. Water filter machine is fantastic! Nice complement drinks.

The only thing is the situation around the area. There is a ton of unfortunate situation going on in the tenderloin area and this is in no way a fault of the hotel. The immediate area of the hotel was ok but only a few streets away you feel very unsafe and uncomfortable. We had one instance of feeling very unsafe during night.

Really nice hotel, the front desk was nice and the rooms were pleasant. The mattress and pillows were comfortable. The service was really good during our stay. The bathroom and shower was nice as well.

Although it was in a central location, there were e lot of homeless around that part of town and although they seemed harmless it was a little unnerving.

The main downside of our stay was the room. We stayed in a Queen bed room on the seventh floor. While the mattress was decent, the pillows were quite uncomfortable and flattened easily. The curtains were not blackout, so the room became quite bright. The bathroom lacked sufficient counter space and places to put our belongings. The air conditioner would frequently shut off and made a noise periodically that startled us. The soundproofing was also poor, as we could hear all the noises from the hallway. In my opinion, the comfort level did not meet the expectations for a 4-star hotel.

For me, the best part of the hotel was the location. The staff are helpful and courteous. We couldn't check in early, but they stored our luggage for us. The room and bathroom were very clean.

First off, the hotel was in a good location because its near union square plaza and very close to shopping malls, restaurants and the trolley station. Its also a walking distance to bus stops and the BART which i used to get to and fro the SF airport. The room was good, clean and tidy. The staff was very nice. They greet guests every single time! I would like to commend the reception staff named Ricky! He was very accommodating, gave good suggestions for restaurants and also went above and beyond when I was asking for some medical supplies I needed during my stay. Will totally recommend this place to my friends.

Queen bedroom was dark, no fridge, no microwave, and no coffee station in bedroom. Also valet parking crazy overpriced.
