The beds. Very loud anytime you moved. The mattresses seemed fine but definitely could use new bed frames or box springs.

The staff was amazing. Fun, friendly, wonderful people. Enjoyed the sharing of ghost stories with See and Coleen.

Our room was on the top floor, we didn't mind but it might be alot of stairs for some.

The staff was awesome, especially Colleen, who made our stay very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent each morning with plenty of choices, freshy baked muffins and good coffee. Appreciated the afternoon cakes and goodies too! Loved the big porch to sit and visit with the other vacationers. Cozy fireplace in the living room when it got cool was a nice bonus.

The room was paneled good to ceiling (and ceiling). It felt like a dungeon. Would’ve been thrilled to have been in one of the brightly painted rooms. Couldn’t wait to leave their room behind.

The cottage can use some updating for sure and would have been nicer with higher quality bedding towels, both bath and beach. For $425 p night, we would expect that amenity. New beach chairs for guests, as the ones we had were pretty beaten up. The hallway and stair carpet really needs to be replaced and some sprucing up the interior would brighten up the place. That said, I would still come back to the Inkwell Cottage. To sum it up, the staff kept the place very clean, it is the cottage that needs some updates and improvements but will not lessen your stay. We still recommend coming here.

The incredible staff here make the stay so enjoyable. Colleen and Brenna were so helpful, friendly and professional, they, and the rest of the staff who I did not get their names, elevated our experience by far. The staff is constantly working on cleaning and keeping the place tidy.

location, very convenient , prettiest on the street, easy to find, night and day. across the street is the beach. you can take the chairs and the umbrellas( they have it available )! secure storage for bicycles. yoga in the morning at 8 am, across the street, on the same beach ! breakfast is absolutely exceptional ! she accommodated all my dietary restrictions ❤️. the recommendations on what to do, and where to go for diner were excellent. we will come back ! i can say I can find my perfect place to stay on Martha’s!

I really can't think of anything!

The breakfasts were great! I loved my room, that I could sit in my chair and look out at the water. The whole staff was lovely and caring, especially the manager who was so kind and determined to help when I could not remember where I had parked my car. I met so many of the guests and formed friendships. My stay there was exceptional and I was allowed to stay several days beyond my reservation. I liked it so much there!

breakfasts were good however a variety of hot items other than egg dishes would have been nice as well. (pancakes or waffles for example). this is more of what we have had in the past at Bed and Breakfasts

Coleen welcomed us upon arrival. as we checked in she offered us an upgrade to a sea-view room which was perfect! each day she and the crew were accommodating and joyful!

Location was great! Across the street from inkwell beach and less than 5 minute walk to ferry/downtown. We stayed for our honeymoon and Colleen provided us with a bottle of prosecco to celebrate. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

As a solo female traveler I enjoyed everything about the property - safe, secured and welcoming. The staff were friendly and courteous. A day before leaving to MV I received a courtesy phone call from Chantel who was inquiring about any special needs, questions I might have and confirming the date I was arriving. It was a welcoming personal call that is rare now a days. I especially loved opening the front screen door after spending the day at the beach and the smell of fresh baked cookies was a delight! They were delicious! The beach was easily accessible and steps away from the beautiful front porch where I enjoyed my cup of coffee every morning after a 6:00 am run. The included breakfast was a huge bonus! I would definitely book with them again!

The only suggestion we had was better lighting in the room we had. I like to read in bed and the lighting was very dark.

The location was excellent. We were especially impressed with graciousness of the staff. They were very accommodating and helpful with any request we had.

Through no fault of yours, I would have liked a bathtub rather than just a shower.

Chantal was exceptionally accommodating, kind, warm, friendly and helpful. She made our stay special. Breakfasts were varied and the fruits and baked goods were of very high quality. I would highly recommend this B&B to others and hope to return. A gem!
