Rate was high but considering it was peak season for " leaf peepers" it was kind of expected. cheapest rate to be found during this time. needs some minor upgrades.

When we turned on the AC all we could smell was cigarette smoke. Very unpleasant odor, especially when we checked I was specifically told no smoking.

While it appears that updates had been made in my room, the place overall is a bit run down, especially on the outside. Perhaps due to the just ending winter, some relatively inexpensive maintenance work such as painting door jams and the outside wooden walkways on the second floor. and the stairways.

It was a welcomed refuge after spending hours in traffic after the solar eclipse and deciding I needed to make an unexpected overnight stop. I was fortunate to find a room available at that point. I arrived at the hotel around 1 a.m. exhausted and was greeted by the friendly manager. The room was OK with a very small but clean and somewhat updated bathroom and a very comfortable bed. It was all clean. I slept very soundly. That night that was all I needed or wanted. The next morning a woman cleaning rooms was very friendly and helpful in recommending a place for breakfast. Given the price on that particular night, it was a good value.

Coffee maker didn't get water hot enough (but the fridge was a pleasant surprise)., and hair dryer didn't work (but we didn't need it). I told the owner about these when we checked out, and she thanked me and wrote them down and promised to replace them. What more could you ask.

Reading other reviews, I had fairly low expectations. But both my wife and I were pleasantly surprised. It's an older facility, but immaculately clean and comfortable - and quiet.

No soda/snack machine. We paid in cash, and they still charged the full price on the card and it took almost a week to get refunded.

The tv did not work. It got fixed but did not work in the morning. The bed was too hard and made sleeping difficult One of the bathroom lights did not work but we got by.

Bathroom fan was tied into the only light switch that worked and was incredibly loud and disturbing in the middle of the night or any time you needed the light on. Would be nice to be able to not turn fan on. Also could not find an ice maker on premises. Couldn't get t.v. to turn on

King sized bed was very comfortable, room was clean. Nice mini fridge and freezer. It's a one star hotel so I'm not going to nitpick overmuch, you get what you pay for, so the things I didn't like are more observations than complaints.

The TV was difficult to operate. The refrigerator was not functioning...at all.
