I booked an accessible (only thing available online) balcony room with a fireplace. The first room we were assigned was a handicap accessible room at the end of a long hall. The only window in the room opened up into a hallway, and the room's balcony was across the hall, shared with other rooms. There was no privacy at all. The room was very dark and drab and really needed to be remodeled. The front desk was very helpful in getting us moved to another room, but also charged us more. Only one elevator was working, and from what I have read, the elevator has been broken for many months. There was a couple of men working on it, but it was not fixed during our stay. The whole place needs to be updated. The carpet in the hall was stained and the walls are pretty beat up. This hotel has the potential to be a wonderful place with some work.

We liked the second room we were assigned. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. We had a balcony overlooking the strip, but the paint was peeling on the railing, and music from the strip was loud until late at night, so keep that in mind. We enjoyed being able to look and sit outside and see the town's activity. The breakfast was very good, and had options like sausage, scrambled eggs, cereal, waffles, grits, oatmeal, etc. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate were available all the time. The location is great for walking in downtown Gatlinburg, and is directly across the street from Crockett's. We enjoyed breakfast there.

Not enough parking, if you get in later in the evening it’s hard to find a spot to park.

I was skeptical about the hotel after reading many bad reviews but was so relieved when I got there. It was clean and perfect location. Yes it could use some updates and the carpets in the hallway did need replaced but me and my son were perfectly comfortable here.

Bathroom could be better. bathrom lock was not working, i changed the room immediatley. Another room has same problem. Elevators are very slow.

Desperately needs updated. Cleaning people had their small children with them at work and I think that prevented the rooms from being cleaned properly. There was candy and nuts on the carpet and dryer vomit next to the bed.

There was 2 elevators. 1 only worked. We waited over 5 minutes for that elevator and just walked the stairs .

Curtains don’t close had to use a hair tie to tie it somewhat closed. The shower was either scalding hot or cold. Found an empty beet bootle by the safe when we arrived. Elevators were messed up.

Breakfast! Location of the indoor pool too cold to walk from the hotel to the pool. Beds were hard not comfortable at all. The floors had cardboard laying on the way to the elevator. Needs to be updated.

The blind in our room was broken, the bathroom had hair from previous guests, the toilet kept running and though we called for maintenance and they came, while we were starting our day, I stopped at the front desk to tell them we were out for the day and returned to the toilet still singing. We just turned it off at night because it was very loud. Lastly, the refrigerator had spills from previous guests.

The location is on the Gatlinburg strip, it was perfect for walking and close to restaurants.
