Bugs in the room, ashes on the note stand ( non smoking room ) counter tops had crumbs on it from last guest, I assume that’s why the roaches were there.

Many people live at the motel full time. There's always a lot of people hanging around, or sitting outside their rooms making it difficult and time consuming process to get to my room. Due to physical limitations I had requested a non smoking room on the 1st floor when BOOKING and called the motel ahead of time to make sure they knew my needs. They assured me they did. Checking In was a long and confusing process and it took two different women to do so as the first one had no clue about Booking.com. Guests were mingling around the lobby talking with employees, and none wore a mask. Only two out of 3 employees in the lobby wore masks, and there were NO ATTEMPTS to MAINTAIN 6 FT. Impossible to do so due to limited space and # of ppl talking. Hand sanitizer was available. I was told I'd be charged a $50 refundable deposit for potential damages and was assured that it would be credited to my account after check out. THEY KEPT IT. I struggled to get my money back for over a month. The motel wouldn't return my calls or answer emails or messages..Booking had to step in for me to get it back. The room chosen for me on the first floor was permeated with the smell of years of smoke and nicotine. They told me they had no ground floor non-smoking rooms, and the ONLY room they said was available was on the 2nd floor.. It was *painfully difficult* for me to access it from the parking lot. Each time I'd had climb up 13 concrete steps carrying my luggage and then walk to my room I had to try and wind around the people crowded outside their rooms. Employees were around, saw the pain I was experiencing yet not one offered me any assistance. By the time I checked out I was in significantly more pain than I'd been before I got there.

The maintenance man was very nice and helpful. Some of the housekeeping staff were kind to me.

The room was not ready and there was a 3 hour wait to refund our items and it was never refunded then we just asked for the room to be cleaned and the lady at the front desk didn’t wear a mask and was coughing in her hand then touching our personal items like our ID and cards. When we arrived there they told us they had rooms and when they gave us the room it wasn’t at all ready or cleaned and when we told them that they said well they are sold out and to get our refund from Expedia and we never received after waiting hours to talk to representatives and then ended up staying and wasting time just to ask for them clean the room up in the end. We ended up extending our checkout time because of the time lost but I too had to put up a fight with that.

Comfortability of the beds were the only good thing about this place.

Everything ! The room/cell was dark / uninviting / dirty with Roaches crawling across the Floor/Walls and in the Shower. As soon as the Roaches came out. I packed my things up and left. Canceling my stay and requested a refund with a copy of it.
