Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomFriendly welcome by reception staff. Hotel has been recently taken over and has had some refurbishing so everything seemed clean and fresh. Lovely big king bed room with a sofa , fridge and microwave. Good location rather than staying closer to a town . We didn’t have breakfast included in room rate but the breakfast area looked clean and modern. Tourist office across the road where you can purchase tickets for the trolley bus and they arrange for a transfer into town to the first stop. Couple of local restaurants next to the hotel. Approximately 25 mins walk into the main town. There is a lot of history to St Augustine so I would recommend the hop on/hop off trolley tour as they have a commentary by the driver which is very interesting. St Augustine is a really lovely place to stay, wish we had stayed longer. Lovely restaurants and shops, quaint houses and buildings.

United StatesI got excited when I read how the beds are super comfortable and you can sink into them…. This was unfortunately not the case, the bed was very thin and hard as a rock. Fortunate for my husband but unfortunate for me 😅
The hotel is so beautiful and stylish inside. Love the floors and lay out. Loved that when we walked into our room it automatically smelt clean! Rooms are very spacious and love the showers.

United StatesThe construction going on in multiple areas of the facility was frustrating. No restrooms available in the lobby was disappointing and it also limited breakfast, elevator usage and compromised security as doors away from the lobby were left unlocked.

Hotel is nice but the beds are the absolute worst beds I’ve ever slept on. My back is still recovering from that mattress. If they got better mattresses, I would definitely come back here. It really is a nice hotel other than the beds. The staff was very friendly.

United StatesThere were still some renovations going on during our stay, so not everything looked great yet. Mostly, finishing touches were not done yet. But once it is finished, I am sure it will be beautiful. We stayed in room 127 next to the rear exit. We could hear the door opening and closing all night when guests came in or out. Maybe soundproofing the room could be better.
The location is great, close to the historical area. The renovated rooms are beautiful with great bathrooms. The AC worked perfectly and was not loud. Beautiful also renovated bathroom with great water pressure in the walk-in shower. The staff was very friendly and always smiling. Check-in was easy and fast.
