Pool area could use some paint and a few little updates but overall it was clean and safe.

This is what a hotel experience should be. The facilities lovely without being extravagant or overdone. the breakfast was delicious and the staff was super friendly and helpful. They seemed to really take pride in the their work. The room was just what we needed. We have paid far more for a room at a fancier hotel that paled in comparison to the comfort of this room and class of this room. The bed was actually comfortable and the room had everything we could have needed. I will stay at another Holiday Inn Express because this experience was so positive.

When I first checked in, I was told that they had moved us to a King suite, rather than the two doubles I had reserved. I wasn't sure how that would work out, as I was traveling with my daughter, which was perhaps a little awkward. I understand that there was a major event taking place that weekend, but it would have been nice to know about this ahead of time or perhaps given another option.

Breakfast was great every morning--eggs/omelets were cooked, but not dried out. Staff was great! Even when there was an event going on over the weekend they were making sure food was prepared and put out so people could eat. Also, I have hips that sometimes pain me, and the mattress was VERY soft. I asked if there was an option of either flipping the mattress, changing out the mattress or changing rooms. They were able to flip the mattress, which resulted in my ability to sleep better.

We did not get a two-bed room; had to take a king bed room. They were out even though we reserved a two-bed room on Booking.com. Hotel said it was a Booking.com issue.

There were a lot of young families staying there and it was very crowded and loud in the reception and pool area. Often could here people (children) running and yelling in the hallways.

Pool area needs paint touch up and pool was very cold. I was told $5 a day for roll away bed and they charged me $15 a day. You could see on my checking account that money was removed and then refunded and did it again. I have never had a company charge me like this as you can see the whale the paint is peeling off and doesn’t look good at all especially in photos.

When there are large groups of kids, there never seems to be any control of their behavior. We thought being on the top floor would be quieter but they were thundering up and down the hallways all evening. There did not seem to be any adult presence around for supervision.

There needs to be more hooks or towel bars in the bathroom. I had to ask for more towels as there weren't enough for the amount of people that were staying there. Extra toilet paper would be nice too.

The kiddie pool was great for my grandchildren. The breakfast options were fantastic. The size of the room met our needs and worked well with the grandchildren. Would definitely stay there again.
