Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

United StatesThe PRICE of VALET was outrageous to me, the most I ever paid at a hotel. Staff didn’t seem to know where I could park if I chose not to use valet, so I just ended up using your valet service, but@$64 for one overnight stay?!?! And our air was not very cold in our room, went to the front to express, they could not change our room because hotel was sold out but gave us some very small fans. We will be coming back in October for another concert and have plans to stay here, hopefully our air conditioner will work in that room! It wasn’t completely broken, just not very cold.
Excellent location to where I needed to be that night! (A concert) loved how it was right in the middle! We used Uber that night, was such quick service from the hotel. We also loved the FREE HOT Breakfast! Very clean hotel also!

United StatesThere was a door between our room and the one beside us so we could clearly hear them. They were also very loud, but I talked to the staff and he changed our room to an upgraded one which was great.
Location was great, very nice and helpful staff. Comfy bed, clean, shower was also good.

UruguayBreakfast when booking is described as "complimentary" and although is ok if you just want to grab a bite, is very basic when travelling with family. If you want a hotel that offers continental/buffet breakfast this is not the option you want to book.
Room was very quiet, clean and well equipped. Location is excellent, only a block away from convention center and walkable distance from many restaurants. The staff was very polite, they let us extend check out by 30 minutes. We traveled with a baby so they provided us with a crib.

United States$100 per night security deposit charged upon checkin. They made a mistake and charged me double-$1000 security deposit upfront for 5 nights! They did not fix this overcharge during my 5 night stay even after I pointed out the error! Security deposit plus overcharged was fixed upon checkout.
